The RoleOstro, the leading conversational AI platform for life sciences, joined Veeva in early 2026 and is building the Strategy function that will define it's next phase of growth and integrations into Veeva. At Veeva, strategy is responsible for positioning Ostro in the market and identifying and removing barriers to sales by closely collaborating with customers, prospects, and internal cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do - Key Deal support in partnership with Sales and Customer success teams
- SME for Ostro's capabilities, roadmap vision, and Veeva Commercial Cloud integrations
- Product positioning, messaging, pricing strategy, and go-to-market narrative
- Competitive intelligence and differentiation
- Identification of new product and segment opportunities based on market feedback
- Cross functional partnership with the following Veeva teams:
Product Management - partners with strategy in a two-in-a-box model to align market needs with product direction - Sales - earns the business that puts Ostro in front of patients and HCPs. Strategy keeps them informed on positioning, pricing, and competitive differentiation
- Customer Success - Manages ongoing customer relationships and surfaces adoption feedback that informs our go-to-market strategy
- Marketing - Promotes Ostro and the problems it solves. Strategy provides the positioning and narrative that shapes their content
- Solution Engineering - Supports customer conversations that require technical validation, integration scoping, or vendor approvals
- Data & Analytics - Measures and demonstrates the ROI on customer partnerships and delivers a strong value proposition to customers. Strategy supports translating this data to customers and prospects
Requirements - 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (years and depth of experience determine placement at the Director or Senior Director level). Preferably, direct experience with patient and/or HCP engagement, omnichannel marketing
- Proven ability to serve as a subject-matter expert in customer-facing settings, translating product capabilities into clear positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation
- Track record of driving commercial outcomes in close partnership with Sales and other cross-functional teams
- Experience partnering with Product Management, translating market feedback into product direction
- Strong executive presence and the ability to influence and build trust with stakeholders from managers to the C-suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Entrepreneurial, autonomous, and effective in an ambiguous, fast-scaling, build-phase environment
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, including to industry events, customers, and internal off-sites per year
- Bachelors degree in related field
Nice to Have - Strong product strategy experience
- Experience in strategy consulting, life sciences technology, or agencies of record
- Direct experience with conversational AI or AI-powered life sciences products
- Familiarity with the Veeva Commercial Cloud ecosystem
- Product launch experience with a top 20 pharma

Compensation - Base pay: $125,000 - $250,000
- The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
