Director, Project and Risk Management
ERM is seeking a strategic, innovative Director to be a leader within our Risk Management Framework and Control Methodology team. In this role, you will serve as the architect of our project program - operationalizing and curating our ambitious roadmap, implementing appropriate governance, and driving progress across a complex, matrixed environment. Beyond project management, you will lead a specialized reporting, insights and GRC team transforming data into forward-leaning outcomes that influence decision-making and ensure business requirements are managed and implemented within our reporting tools and GRC. This is a key role with visibility across first, second and third lines across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:
Empower and lead a high-performing team and impactful team of risk professionals, providing strategic direction, setting objectives, and establishing a culture that fosters quality outcomes and results
Manage complex, cross functional projects, process and program integrations with consideration for our risk processes and program standards
Build and maintain a detailed Roadmap, and design, develop, and manage approaches for projects in a dynamic environment, establishing appropriate governance and tools (e.g. project plan, RAID, go-live requirements)
Champion rigorous project documentation and design standards to mitigate delivery risk and ensure every milestone meets its strategic intent
Move the needle to advance our reporting and monitoring, implementing cutting-edge tools that provide real-time insights into risk framework and control methodology adherence and application
Lean into GRC system enhancements, and the integration of AI and automation to streamline control management and testing protocols.
Build collaborative relationships and partner cross-functionally with Stakeholders, and other projects and programs, to provide strategic thought partnership to effectively drive delivery
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or Military experience
At least 8 years of Project Management experience
At least 8 years of Risk Management, Audit or Process Quality experience
At least 4 years of people leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree
Certification within discipline (e.g. PMP, Lean, Agile, Data)
At least 4 years of Change Management experience
Experience working within a Financial Institution
Experience working with reporting tools such as Tableau, Quicksights

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $206,000 - $235,100 for Director, Risk Management
Richmond, VA: $187,300 - $213,700 for Director, Risk Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
