This role is responsible for building and developing high-performing teams, advancing people, processes, and tools, and promoting program execution best practices across the Aerospace & Defense business. The position partners closely with cross-functional leaders to drive continuous improvement and strengthen program team performance across the sector.
Essential Functions:- Ability to obtain a US Secret security clearance.
- 25% travel based on business needs (CONUS or OCONUS).
- Oversee predictable program execution across Division Programs.
- Oversee Program Performance Analysis / Reporting for the Sector.
- Partner with program PMX leads to ensure executable baseline plans (cost and schedule).
- Drive R&O best practices into execution across all programs for the Sector.
- Oversee PMX leads Manage Division PM training.
- Program Leadership Team (PLT) Certification program.
- Program Management (RPM) rotational program.
- Oversee coordination of training requirements and training instruction for program teams.
- Training metrics.
- Organize Gate and Independent Reviews for the Sector.
- Own implementation of tools across the Sector.
- Opportunity & Risk Register.
- Schedule Metrics Analysis & Reporting Tool (SMART).
- Program Health Dashboard (PHD) & Automated Program Review Template (PRT).
- Support various sectors and division reviews.
- Ensure appropriate PMO staffing for program proposals, baseline activities, and execution.
- Enforce Program Management policy and process requirements.
- Coordinates and adjudicates PMX support priorities.
- Collaborate with Segment and Corporate PMX function to develop and disseminate policy, tools, and training.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 13 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
- Demonstrated business accumen and highest level of technical mastery in functional area. Leadership capability to guide business or functional teams without formal management role.
- Demonstrated program management, proposal management, program planning, and EVMS experience.
- Demonstrated ability to present to executives/management on important topics.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, identify problems and propose solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, across geographically disbursed teams.
Preferred Additional Skills- Experience managing Profit & Loss (P&L).
- Experience providing instructional training to program team(s).
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
- Knowledge of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP).
