Since launching in beta in 2024, Capital One Business Travel (COBT) has experienced rapid growth, setting out to redefine enterprise and small-business corporate travel by bringing together modern travel infrastructure and cutting-edge financial technology. We are entering a phase of exponential scale and need a visionary Director of Product to lead the product organization.
In this role, you will own the overarching product vision, 12–18 month roadmaps, and long-term strategy for COBT. You will manage and scale a team of product managers, partnering closely with Design, Engineering, and executive leadership to transform bold growth ambitions into a market-defining product experience. Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision: Set the end-to-end strategy, 12–18 month roadmaps, and multi-year vision for COBT. Define the strategic priorities, product architecture, and competitive moats needed to win in small business and enterprise travel markets.
Team Leadership & Scale: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of product managers. Establish a culture of product excellence, fast iteration, customer obsession, and strong operational rigor.
Customer Proximity & Market Insight: Stay deep in the field with SMB owners, corporate travel managers, and employee travelers. Translate customer friction, industry shifts, and competitive dynamics into high-impact product solutions.
Cross-Functional Triad Leadership: Partner tightly with Engineering, Design, Growth, and Operations to deliver world-class travel experiences. Drive strategic alignment across all stages of product development, from early concept through execution and post-launch iteration.
Business Growth & Executive Thought Leadership: Serve as a thought leader for COBT across Capital One, translating complex product and technical strategies into clear executive narratives.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $230,400 - $263,000 for Director, Product ManagementNew York, NY: $251,400 - $286,900 for Director, Product Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
