Summary
The Director of Pharmacy provides strategic and operational leadership for pharmacy services across St. Clair Health. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating pharmacy operations, clinical services, medication safety initiatives, regulatory compliance activities, and workforce development programs to support the safe, timely, effective, patient-centered, and cost-efficient use of medications. The Director collaborates with physicians, nursing leadership, administration, and other healthcare professionals to advance organizational priorities, enhance patient outcomes, and support the mission, vision, and values of St. Clair Health.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must meet one of the following:
- PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Master's degree in Business Administration or related field and Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
- Licensed to practice pharmacy in Pennsylvania, or eligible for licensure, with maintenance of active licensure required.
- At least five (5) years of management experience in a hospital or health-system pharmacy.
- Demonstrated experience in pharmacy operations, clinical services, regulatory compliance, medication safety, budgeting, and personnel management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in healthcare administration, business, pharmacy leadership, or a related field preferred.
- Experience leading pharmacy technology implementations, medication safety programs, drug diversion prevention, and accreditation readiness activities.
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency or fellowship preferred.
- Prior Epic experience, including pharmacy-related Epic implementation, optimization, or support, preferred.
