About the Role:

The Director of Technology and AI leads IIANC's internal technology operations, strategy, systems, and artificial intelligence initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring IIANC's technology works effectively today while helping the organization use technology, AI, and automation to operate smarter and more efficiently in the future.

A key objective of this position is moving IIANC toward becoming an AI-enabled organization, where AI and modern technology are thoughtfully incorporated into everyday work across the organization.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead IIANC's overall technology operations, ensuring systems, applications, hardware, integrations, vendors, and workflows are reliable, effective, and aligned with organizational needs.
  • Serve as the primary internal technology resource, troubleshooting issues directly when appropriate and coordinating with managed service providers, vendors, and outside support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain IIANC's technology strategy and roadmap, working across departments to evaluate systems, identify needs, and lead practical improvements, integrations, implementations, and vendor decisions.
  • Serve as IIANC's internal AI lead by identifying opportunities to use AI, automation, and emerging technology to improve workflows, productivity, member service, decision-making, and business processes.
  • Build organization-wide technology and AI capability through training, coaching, responsible-use practices, clear communication, regular updates, and a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

What Qualifications You Bring:

  • 🧠 Experience
    • Experience in technology leadership, business systems, systems implementation, technology operations, process improvement, digital transformation, or a related field.
    • Strong general technology aptitude with the ability to understand, troubleshoot, and learn unfamiliar systems quickly.
    • Experience managing technology projects, vendors, implementations, or external service providers.
    • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into practical technology solutions.
    • Meaningful hands-on experience with generative AI, automation, and emerging technology.
  • 💻 Technical & systems skills
    • Experience using project tracking, documentation, collaboration, or workflow tools to organize requirements, tasks, issues, and follow-up.
    • Comfortable learning new platforms, including CRM systems, customer portals, reporting tools, database systems, and technology products.
    • Ability to support system testing, data validation, user documentation, reporting needs, and process improvement efforts.
  • 🤖 AI & automation mindset
    • Comfortable exploring AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar platforms to improve efficiency and support better decision-making.
    • Able to use AI responsibly to summarize information, draft documentation, support reporting, organize requirements, and improve communication.
    • Interested in identifying practical opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, reduce manual work, and streamline workflows.
    • Curious, adaptable, and quick to learn emerging technologies that can improve systems, user experience, and business operations.
