What You Will Do- Oversee internal and external access control, CCTV, lost and found, workplace safety and health standards, workplace violence prevention and response, and incident response and investigation.
- Develop and implement comprehensive emergency response and crisis management plans.
- Ensure full compliance with local security and safety laws, fire safety codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with local authorities and emergency services to maintain effective intelligence, communication, and rapid response capabilities.
- Oversee the choice, placement, and performance of security technologies, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- Work with all departments to ensure safety practices are being followed, with attention to chemical storage and use, slip/trip/fall hazard removal, fire and carbon monoxide detection / response, machine guarding, safe manual material handling practices (including ergonomics, lifting techniques, and task design), contractor management, and injury and illness prevention.
- Some properties provide water rescue services, manage their own firefighting teams and equipment, deal with hazardous wildlife, or have responsibility for childcare facilities, each of which require additional security and safety expertise.
- Serve as Co-Chair of the property's Lead With Care Committee, partnering with cross-functional leaders to:
- Support the effective implementation of the health, safety, and security management system
- Drive engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement in safety culture
- Review incidents, trends, and risk mitigation strategies at the property level
- Collaborate with People & Culture and property leadership to coordinate and support on-property investigations.
- Maintain a strong partnership with Rooms and Guest Experience
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion at all times.
What You Bring- Degree or diploma in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel or resort security, with at least 3 years in a director-level role.
- Proven expertise in luxury or ultra-luxury hospitality environments, with an understanding of guest expectations for discretion and comfort.
- Preferred experience working with The Hotel & Gaming Trades Council, AFL-CIO.
- In-depth knowledge of local security and safety laws, international fire and life safety codes, international privacy considerations, local injury and illness reporting requirements, incident response and crisis management procedures, and investigative techniques.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
- High integrity, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency with MS Office, CCTV and access control systems, and fire panels.
- First aid, CPR, and basic fire response training at a minimum (Specific sites might need to set additional expectations.)
- Flexibility to respond to events at all hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as operationally required.

Compensation: $125,000 - $135,000 annually
