Responsibilities

Full Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Represent GEMAIRE as a leader in the industry ensuring maximum sales and profitability.
  • Directly manage sales activities for Regional Sales Managers.
  • Secure maximum market share and sales dollars consistent with established sales policies and programs.
  • Develop market strategies and solicit new accounts and dealers.
  • Establish targets for direct reports articulating a clear vision and direction to ensure targets are met
  • Serve as a host at dealer meetings, conferences, incentive trips and all other similar functions.
  • Attend, when necessary, training classes to acquire the skills to meet our customers' needs and expectations and to keep abreast with technical developments and changes in product lines.
  • Assist in resolving customer relations problems with both dealers and end users.
  • Oversee the quality of customer service provided to dealers.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts.
  • Identify trends, opportunities and threats to core business.
  • Travel with each Regional Sales Manager and Territory Sales Manager to achieve division goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5-10 years of progressive senior level sales leadership with demonstrated results
  • Proficiency in HVAC at a wholesale distribution level preferred but not required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in residential and commercial contractor relationships.
  • Proven success in managing and mentoring other sales employees while establishing sales goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales and market data and provide real-time solutions.
  • Capable of working in a fast paced environment with ability to multi-task.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in product management or business development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to travel within division up to 80% of the time.

Objective

The Director of Sales is responsible for leading and directing sales activities within the Division. The primary purpose of this position is to achieve revenue through effective leadership and represent GEMAIRE as a leader in the industry ensuring maximum sales. The DVP-Sales will develop a strong team of Regional Sales Managers who are able to lead the sales efforts of their Territory Sales Managers.
