Working closely with the COO, Program Director, Respite Care Coordinators, and other program leaders, the Senior Director will lead the systems, people, and processes that support client intake, eligibility, care planning, scheduling, regulatory compliance, and overall respite coordination.

This is an excellent opportunity for a leader who enjoys developing people, strengthening processes, solving complex operational challenges, and creating systems that allow teams to serve families well.

What You'll Do

Lead and Develop the Respite Care Coordination Team
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and development for the Respite Care Coordinators, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and ongoing feedback.
  • Establish clear expectations and help team members achieve individual, team, and organizational goals.
  • Lead team meetings and foster consistent, positive, and effective communication.
  • Ensure established policies, procedures, and care coordination practices are consistently followed.

Oversee Client Intake and Care Coordination
  • Provide oversight of the assessment and eligibility determination process for individuals applying to Jill's House programs.
  • Ensure appropriate levels of care are identified in collaboration with families, support coordinators, and other professionals.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), behavioral plans, risk assessments, and other client care documentation.
  • Provide oversight of client scheduling and placement to support program capacity and group goals.

Strengthen Systems and Program Operations

  • Track team activity, workload, and outcomes and provide reporting related to the coordination of respite services.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen communication, and create greater consistency across programs.
  • Collaborate across Jill's House departments and leadership teams to develop cohesive, scalable program processes.

Support Compliance and Quality

  • Review, develop, and update policies and procedures related to state regulations and Medicaid requirements.
  • Partner with organizational leaders to promote strong documentation, compliance, risk management, and quality of care.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is a people-centered leader who can balance compassionate service with strong operational execution. You are comfortable leading a team, establishing accountability, navigating complex client needs, and improving systems without losing sight of the individuals and families those systems are designed to serve.

You will be especially successful in this role if you are someone who:
  • Develops and supports employees while maintaining clear expectations and accountability.
  • Communicates well across teams, disciplines, and levels of leadership.
  • Can manage multiple priorities and create structure in a complex service environment.
  • Uses sound judgment when navigating client care, staffing, compliance, and operational decisions.
  • Enjoys improving processes and creating systems that make work more effective and sustainable.
  • Approaches leadership with humility, collaboration, compassion, and a commitment to excellent care.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in healthcare, disability services, human services, or a related setting.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience working with children and/or adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • Experience with care coordination, program administration, or client services in a regulated environment preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
