Job Description:
As the first leader of a new function, the Director of Product Marketing turns our multi-product portfolio into a clear story by segment and owns positioning, launches, and sales enablement across it. Reporting to the VP of Product, you'll work day to day with the CEO and the leaders of Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to make Remsoft's whole portfolio easier to buy, sell, and expand.
The ideal candidate is someone who has positioned and launched products in a multi-product software company and can tie that work to pipeline, win rate, or expansion revenue. They're comfortable in a lean team where they build the playbook and do the work themselves before hiring, and they can tell one clear story to technical users, executives, and a PE-backed board.
Responsibilities:
- Portfolio positioning: Define a clear role, buyer, and value story for each product (Woodstock, Stratus, Prism, OpTracker, AFRIDS, and the acquired INFLOR, LOGR, and Lim Geomatics offerings), plus a single Remsoft narrative above them.
- ICP-based go-to-market: Work with Sales and the CEO to organize messaging, offers, and campaigns around ideal customer segments, with clear target accounts, channels, and metrics for each.
- Cross-sell and expansion: Test and prove the cross-sell thesis across acquired products. Design the offers, plays, and customer evidence that move accounts from one product to a portfolio, and report honestly on what works.
- Competitive positioning: Own competitive intelligence and battlecards. Turn product gap analysis into sales guidance on where we win and how to handle the gaps (road planning and transport dispatching).
- AI as a first principle: Position and launch AI-enabled capabilities as core to the platform, not an add-on. Work with Product to define what customers will pay for.
- Launches: Run product and release launches end to end with Product, Sales, and Customer Success, from internal readiness to post-launch review.
- Sales enablement: Build pitch narratives, demo flows, objection handling, and training so every seller tells the same story.
- Customer insight: Run customer interviews, win/loss analysis, and market research, and bring the findings into roadmap, pricing, and M&A discussions.
- Pricing and packaging: Partner with Product and Finance on pricing and bundles that reflect value and support expansion.
- Evidence and advocacy: Build case studies, references, and proof points with Customer Success, in forestry terms customers recognize.
- Reporting to leadership and investors: Give the VP of Product and CEO a clear view of pipeline contribution, win rates, and launch results.
- Team building: Start as a hands-on individual contributor and hire a small team as the function scales.
Qualifications:
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
- Software: Hands-on experience with AI-enabled products: you can explain what they do, why they matter, and how to price them. We're looking for candidates who are comfortable working in an AI-enabled environment and understand how AI can improve productivity, innovation, and customer outcomes. Applicants should demonstrate practical experience using AI tools relevant to product marketing to streamline work, generate insights, and improve efficiency.
- Years of Experience: 10+ years in B2B software product marketing, with 3+ years leading a function or team.
- Experience in a multi-product company, ideally one that has integrated acquired products into a single go-to-market story.
- A record of positioning and launches that moved pipeline, win rate, or expansion revenue.
- Experience with enterprise or complex B2B sales cycles.
- Fluency in SaaS metrics (ARR, net revenue retention, win rate, pipeline coverage) and comfort being measured on them.
- Strong writer and presenter, credible with technical users, executives, and a PE-backed board.
Assets:
- Brazilian Portuguese
- Experience in forestry, natural resources, geospatial, or other industrial or vertical software
Location:
We're committed to finding the best candidate and are flexible on location. Remsoft has offices in Fredericton, New Brunswick; Ottawa, Ontario; Vitória, Brazil; and Adelaide, Australia. For this role, we're looking for someone based near our Canada or Brazil offices. You can work fully remote, in a hybrid setup, or from one of our offices, as long as you're comfortable with some travel to the offices.
