ResponsibilitiesMaxLinear is seeking a Director of Product Engineering to join our team. In this role, you will focus on the following:
- Build and mentor engineering talent while fostering a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and innovation
- Drive seamless transition of products from design to manufacturing and own product manufacturing performance throughout the entire product lifecycle
- Lead product bring-up, silicon validation, characterization, qualification, and production release activities
- Define organizational strategy, goals, KPIs, and resource plans aligned with company objectives
- Collaborate closely with cross functional organizations to optimize performance, yield, testability, and manufacturability
- Establish manufacturing readiness criteria and ensure successful product ramp
- Own product yield improvement initiatives across wafer fabrication, assembly, and final test operations
- Implement statistical process control (SPC), DOE, FMEA, and advanced analytics techniques.
- Analyze product and test data to identify yield detractors and implement corrective actions
- Develop strategies to improve cost of test, manufacturing efficiency, and overall product margins
- Support customer escalations, product quality investigations, and field-return analysis
- Establish and manage OSAT scorecards and KPIs to ensure world-class execution in quality, yield, cost, delivery, and cycle time
Qualifications- Experience with releasing products on advanced CMOS Process nodes (16nm and below)
- Deep knowledge of mm-wave, RF, Mixed signal and CMOS logic circuit principles
- Knowledge and experience with ATE (Automatic Test Equipment), such as Verigy and Teradyne
- Experience with Data Analysis S/W such as Galaxy, Data Conductor or DataPower to create Characterization Reports and monitor production Yield
- Experience recruiting, managing, and mentoring an engineering team
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 13 years of experience, or MS + 11 years of experience, or Ph.D. + 8 years of experience
Compensation and BenefitsMaxLinear has a Total Compensation philosophy which includes base salary and annual discretionary bonus eligibility and many positions also include stock-based compensation.
MaxLinear's good faith estimate starting base salary range is: $187,000 to $251, Annually
