Responsibilities About the Facility: Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed, The Joint Commission accredited, private behavioral health hospital located in Greenville, Texas. For nearly 40 years, Glen Oaks Hospital has been a leader in the field of mental health and chemical dependency care, and our staff is dedicated to researching the latest treatment approaches and applying this to our overall treatment philosophy. CPS Solutions-Optum has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions-Optum.
Pharmacy Hours: The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm and Saturday and Sunday 6:00am - 11:00am.
The
Director of Pharmacy is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the inpatient pharmacy to ensure that medications are handled, stored, dispensed, and delivered in an appropriate manner. Responsibilities include the following: the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures pertaining to all Pharmacy functions, providing Pharmacy clinical services to Physicians, Nurses, and Patients, overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy, supervision of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, effective cost management of medications, Chairperson of the P+T Committee, and reporting to the Quality Management Committee. Duties are performed under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer in accordance with the rules established by the Joint Commission, standards of the Department of Health, and in accordance with state and federal laws.
Qualifications Primary Responsibilities: - Processes physician drug orders including, but not limited to:
- order entry into dispensing computer system
- appropriate product selection
- labeling and repackaging
- delegating product preparation activities to pharmacy technicians
- Consults with various health care professionals and provides information and guidance concerning drugs and their appropriate use
- Complies with departmental and hospital policies and procedures
- Oversees pharmacy staff and ensures coverage for pharmacy operations
- Participates in and/or provides support to hospital committees as agreed upon to help establish drug-related policies, criteria, or to monitor issues related to drugs i.e. Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee
- Prepares periodic reports on the progress of the department for submission to the administration of the hospital
- Assists the department and hospital in maintaining compliance with accreditation standards

Required Qualifications: - ACPE - accredited PharmD degree (highly preferred) or BS of Pharmacy with recent pharmacist work experience
- Active State of Texas pharmacist license in good standing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications: - Some hospital pharmacy work experience

The hourly pay for this role will range from $44.00 to $79.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
