Essential Functions
We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of People Services Director. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing employee relations, retention, performance management, regulatory compliance, employee engagement, and HR operations. The People Services Director partners closely with hospital leadership to support our employees, strengthen our workplace culture, and ensure HR practices align with organizational goals and company policies. How you'll contribute
A People Services Director who excels in this role:
- Serve as the senior HR leader for the hospital and strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team.
- Partner with leaders across the organization to align workforce strategies with business and operational goals.
- Lead employee engagement, retention, succession planning, and culture initiatives.
- Oversee labor relations activities, including administration of collective bargaining agreements and union partnerships.
- Participate in and/or lead union negotiations, grievance management, and employee relations matters.
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, investigations, corrective action, and conflict resolution.
- Direct recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and retention efforts to support staffing needs.
- Manage day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, policies, and healthcare regulations.
- Oversee HR audits, reporting, documentation, leaves of absence, accommodations, and policy administration.
- Analyze workforce metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improved engagement, retention, and operational effectiveness.
- Develop and implement action plans based on workforce data and organizational needs.
- Lead employee development, leadership development, and training initiatives across the facility.
- Develop, monitor, and manage departmental budgets and HR-related expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies while supporting a people-first culture.
What we're looking for
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree, preferably in the areas of Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field. Additional requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field from an accredited school required.
- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), or Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
- Three years of human resources experience required.
- Two years of healthcare human resources experience preferred.
- One year of behavioral health experience preferred.
- De-escalation certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.

Schedule: This is a Full Time, Exempt position. Full comprehensive Benefit and Total Rewards package eligible.
