Job Summary

Position Summary

The District Operations Manager drives operational excellence across warehouse and distribution operations within Canteen Refreshment Services.This role serves as a key operational leader responsible for warehouse performance, inventory accuracy, labor planning, safety compliance, productivity improvement, and execution of district operating strategies. They will partner with district and warehouse leadership to improve inventory accuracy, productivity, labor utilization, safety, customer service, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Leadership
  • Execute district operational strategies that improve warehouse efficiency, service levels, and profitability.
  • Oversee receiving, replenishment, picking, packing, staging, and shipping activities.
  • Manage workforce planning, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
  • Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and accuracy.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization and cost reduction.

Inventory & Performance Management
  • Maintain inventory integrity through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation.
  • Analyze warehouse metrics including inventory accuracy, fulfillment rates, labor utilization, and productivity.
  • Identify trends and develop action plans to improve operational performance and inventory control.
  • Support forecasting and inventory planning to ensure product availability.

Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and warehouse associates.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and succession planning.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure team compliance with operational and safety standards.

Safety & Compliance
  • Promote a safety-first culture and ensure OSHA and company policy compliance.
  • Conduct safety inspections, audits, and training programs.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.

Customer Service & Support
  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Partner with transportation, sales, and operations teams to support customer satisfaction and growth.
  • Resolve operational issues and customer escalations promptly.
  • Support special projects, peak-volume periods, facility initiatives, and operational transitions.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
  • Experience leading warehouse teams in a fast-paced setting.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, WMS, receiving, shipping, and fulfillment processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety practices, and continuous improvement methods.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead through change.
