DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Fives Giddings & Lewis is actively seeking a Director of Operations to join our team in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
Position Summary
Responsible for leading operations of a multi-shift OEM manufacturing facility. Develops and manages manufacturing programs and policies to ensure products are delivered on schedule while meeting quality and cost objectives. Oversees Assembly, Production Planning, Manufacturing, Inventory Control, and Quality departments. Creates a safe work environment, builds a strong culture, improves customer experience, increases productivity, and supports profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct manufacturing operations and ensure quality standards are met.
• Deliver products on time.
• Reduce scrap and rework costs.
• Drive decisions using data and quality tools.
• Build a high-performance culture.
• Develop and mentor leaders and employees.
• Manage budgets and costs.
• Maintain inventory and improve lead times.
• Establish standardized work and visual management systems.
• Lead long-range planning for capacity, equipment, technology, and workforce needs.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 10-15 years of leadership experience in OEM or manufacturing environments.
• SAP/ERP experience.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
