Position: Director of Operations

Position Summary
Early Autism Services is seeking a strategic Director of Operations to drive operational excellence, scalability, and growth across our clinics in Michigan. In this onsite, field-based leadership role, you will oversee clinic performance, manage administrative teams, and ensure the consistent execution of workflows. This position is ideal for a data-driven leader who excels at building systems, coaching teams, and fostering community relationships to support market expansion and maintain high service delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic & Operational Leadership: Oversee daily and weekly clinic operations, managing budget performance (including revenue and cost drivers) and ensuring cross-functional alignment. Serve as the primary escalation point for operational, staff, and client concerns to ensure timely resolution.
- Team Development & Coaching: Lead and develop Clinic Coordinators and administrative staff. Establish clear accountability structures and provide ongoing coaching and training to strengthen leadership capability and ensure consistent execution of daily tasks.
- Intake, Launch & Growth: Own the full local intake process-from new client inquiries to service coordination-and monitor intake metrics to identify growth barriers. Coordinate new clinic launches and build referral networks within the community to sustain long-term market presence.
- Performance Management: Monitor key operational metrics such as clinic hours, utilization, and cancellations. Implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and maintain accurate reporting tools to provide leadership with insights for business planning.
- Insurance Oversight: Manage day to day oversight of Wayne County Medicaid Contract and ensure Early Autism Services successfully delivers care in accordance with contract and clinical standards
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Aba and Wayne County Medicaid understanding (preferred)
- Experienced Operator: Proven success in clinic management, administrative workflows, and managing intake systems.
- Growth-Oriented Leader: Ability to lead through systems and measurable outcomes, with specific experience supporting new clinic launches and market expansion.
- Strong Communicator: Capable of building trust, transparency, and alignment across clinical and administrative teams.
- Field-Focused: Highly organized, proactive, and committed to onsite, field-based leadership, including regular weekly or bi-weekly clinic visits and walkthroughs.
