compassionate, experienced, and hands-on Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department and help us deliver exceptional care to our residents.
Position SummaryAs the
Director of Nursing, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department and provide clinical leadership to ensure residents receive safe, high-quality care.
You will work closely with the Administrator, Medical Director, nursing team, residents, families, and interdisciplinary departments to maintain excellent clinical standards and regulatory compliance.

support their team, solve problems, communicate effectively, and lead by example.Key Responsibilities- Direct and oversee daily nursing department operations
- Lead, coach, and support RNs, LPNs/LVNs, CNAs, and other nursing personnel
- Ensure quality, compassionate, and resident-centered care
- Monitor clinical outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, assignments, and nursing coverage
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Monitor infection prevention and control practices
- Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives
- Prepare the nursing department for state surveys and other regulatory reviews
- Address resident and family concerns professionally and promptly
- Monitor compliance with facility policies and applicable regulations
- Conduct staff education, training, and performance coaching
- Collaborate with the Administrator and other members of the leadership team
- Promote a positive culture of teamwork, accountability, and respect
What We're Looking For- Current RN license in the state of employment
- Previous nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute setting preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a nursing team
- Knowledge of long-term care regulations and clinical standards
- Commitment to resident dignity, safety, and quality of life
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
