Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional sub-acute medical care, rehabilitation services, and 24-hour skilled nursing care. About the RoleAs the
Director of Nursing (DON), you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, ensuring that all patients receive the highest level of care and attention. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in maintaining a culture of excellence, quality, and integrity. You will work closely with the administration and other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage the nursing department, providing guidance and support to staff members
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff members
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient care and services
- Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, families, and other stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing education and professional growth
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a DON in a nursing home
- Valid Florida nursing license
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service
