Director of Nursing (DON)Qualifications of Director of Nursing (DON)- Active Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact required
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Director of Nursing in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility
- Proven success leading clinical turnarounds and improving facility performance
- Strong history of positive state survey outcomes and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, develop, and retain nursing staff
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, quality measures, infection prevention, and clinical reimbursement processes
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all nursing operations
- Drive clinical excellence and ensure delivery of high-quality resident care
- Lead regulatory readiness efforts and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
- Analyze quality metrics and implement action plans to improve outcomes
- Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing nursing leaders and staff
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident satisfaction and clinical results
- Manage staffing, budgeting, and clinical resource allocation
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
