Director of Nursing (DON)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team at Greenville Center. As the leader of our nursing department, you will be responsible for organizing, directing, and supervising the delivery of quality resident care while maintaining a safe and compassionate environment.

Job Summary:

The Director of Nursing will lead a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals in providing high-quality care to our residents. You will be responsible for developing and managing nursing personnel, fiscal resources, and maintaining a safe environment. With a strong focus on quality care and employee satisfaction, this role requires a leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes and fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize, direct, and supervise the delivery of nursing care in accordance with the mission statement, policy, and procedures of the facility and nursing standards of practice
  • Develop and manage nursing personnel, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff
  • Maintain and improve the quality of care delivered to residents through performance improvement initiatives and quality metrics
  • Develop and manage fiscal resources, including budgeting and financial planning
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional resident care

Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • B.S. degree preferred, Associates Degree accepted
  • Current R.N. registration, within state of RI
  • Four years' experience preferred, with a minimum of two years long-term care experience
  • A minimum of two years previous leadership experience, preferably in long-term care
