Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Riverside Medical Clinic is seeking a Full-Time Director of Human Resources. Responsibilities include human resources strategic planning, manpower planning and development, succession planning, policy development, opportunity analysis, problem resolution, performance monitoring, and program development.Responsible for the overall process for provider appointment and reappointment to the medical staff. Duties include but not limited to:
  • Plans, organizes, and directs all aspects of the human resources department and all its entities including benefits and compensention.
  • Responsibile for employment, employee and labor relations, worker compensation, employee health, and EAP services.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare-specific laws and regulations, experience with AAAHC ideal.
  • Credentialing & Licensing: Experience with tracking and verifying professional licenses, certifications, and background checks.
  • Ability to source and recruit high-demand talent (physicians, nurses, technicians).
  • Implementing continuous feedback systems, rather than just annual reviews, to improve productivity and engagement.
  • Expert use of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) to automate routine administrative tasks and streamline payroll/benefits. Strong working knowledge of Workday. ICIMS and UKG are preferred
  • Leverage workforce analytics to identify trends in turnover, absenteeism, and to forecast staffing needs. - Workday will support this objective!
Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:
  • BA/BS in Business/Human Resources Management or related field required. Masters preferred. Knowledge of current employment, labor law, benefits related laws. Masters preferred.
  • Knowledge of current employment, labor law, benefits related laws. Pension/ERISA regulations, wage and hour, fair labor standard act, worker's compensation laws.
  • OSHA regulations, and other human resources- related legislation is desired. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in H.R. functions in HR leadership. Healthcare experience preferred in a Clinic or Ambulatory setting working with providers.
  • Experience in Medical Staff Credentialing. Knowledge of current regulations impacting Credentialing.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
  • Human Resources Certification or Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) required.
  • Current CA Drivers License required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Creating efficient workflows for onboarding and offboarding, particularly when the MSO is managing multiple clinics or acquisitions.
  • Develop and monitor HR dashboards including turnover, vacancy rates, time-to-fill, and labor cost as % of revenue.
  • Partner with Executive Team to manage salary structures, FTE ratios, and budget adherence.
  • Responsible for administration of wage and salary policies and structures, and for performance appraisal and merit review programs. Assure that the company's compensation program is competitive and equitable and in keeping with the company's compensation philosophy.
  • Exercise general oversight over a company benefits programs and services.
  • Direct the preparation and maintenance of reports that are necessary to carry out functions of the department.
  • Prepares periodic reports for leadership, as necessary or requested.
  • Develop programs, policies, procedures, and controls regarding employment, and analyze manpower and turnovers
