Full Job Description
The Opportunity

Housekeeping is where our five-star standard becomes real - every arrival, every turnover, every detail. As Director of Housekeeping, you will own that standard end to end: building and leading the team, designing the training and systems that keep quality consistent, and putting your personal stamp on how a luxury property should look and feel the moment a guest walks in.

This is a leadership role with real ownership - and a hands-on one. You'll be equally comfortable building a training program, walking a property before a VIP arrival, mentoring a supervisor, and solving the day's puzzle in real time. You'll report directly to the owner, shape the department as we grow, and see your work reflected in every guest review.

Team & Leadership
• Recruit, onboard, lead, and develop housekeeping staff and supervisors - building a high-caliber team aligned with our service standards.
• Design and implement structured training programs for consistent onboarding, skill development, and quality execution.
• Motivate through recognition and accountability, addressing performance issues with professionalism and clarity.
• Foster a positive, collaborative culture built on open communication and shared commitment to excellence.

Quality & Property Readiness
• Oversee daily housekeeping operations so every property is guest-ready and meets our standards at every turn.
• Conduct regular property inspections - cleanliness, presentation, readiness - identifying and resolving deficiencies promptly.
• Verify household items, amenities, and furnishings are in place and in excellent condition; ensure prompt reporting of maintenance issues and follow through to resolution.
• Implement and uphold cleaning protocols and SOPs that ensure consistency, safety, and sanitation - and keep improving them.

Operations & Vendors
• Create and manage cleaning schedules for timely turnovers and optimal staffing across the portfolio.
• Monitor and manage inventory of linens, supplies, and equipment; source and replenish proactively.
• Manage vendor relationships, including suppliers and laundry services, for quality and cost efficiency.
• Accurately track and bill homeowners for additional housekeeping services and replacement items.

Guests, Owners & the Wider Team
• Coordinate seamlessly with guest services and maintenance for arrivals, departures, special requests, and deliveries.
• Respond to guest and homeowner requests with professionalism and urgency, turning concerns into positive experiences.
• Communicate with homeowners and guests to understand preferences and deliver a personalized experience.
• Contribute operational insight in leadership meetings as a voice in how the company grows.

Requirements
• 5+ years of housekeeping management experience in luxury vacation rentals, high-end hotels, or resorts.
• Deep understanding of luxury service standards and the expectations of high-net-worth guests and homeowners.
• Proven success managing, training, and developing a housekeeping team to five-star standards, including recruiting, onboarding, and staff evaluations.
• Experience developing and implementing training programs and SOPs.
• Vendor management and budgeting/cost-control experience for housekeeping operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and housekeeping or property management software.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organization; strong leadership and problem-solving under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills across guests, homeowners, vendors, and staff.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

Benefits
• Annual salary: $100,000-$120,000, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonus opportunities.
• Health, dental, and vision insurance.
• Generous paid time off (PTO).
• Ski pass provided upon completion of the 90-day introductory period.
• Relocation assistance available for the right candidate.
• A supportive, collaborative environment where your contributions are recognized - reporting directly to ownership.
