Position Overview: Barnhart is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of FP&A & Treasury to help drive financial performance, business insights, and operational excellence across our growing organization.
This highly visible leadership role partners closely with executive, operational, and branch leadership to support financial decision-making, improve business performance, and advance key strategic initiatives. The Director of FP&A & Treasury will lead financial planning and analysis, treasury operations, business reporting, and analytics while developing a team of finance professionals and helping strengthen Barnhart's finance capabilities for the future.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning & Business Performance
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, and long-range planning activities.
- Partner with business and operational leaders to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and support profitable growth.
- Deliver actionable insights and recommendations that improve decision-making across the organization.
- Develop financial analyses that support strategic investments and business initiatives.
- Reporting, Analytics & Business Intelligence
- Enhance financial reporting and analytics capabilities across the organization.
- Develop executive dashboards, KPI reporting, and business performance metrics.
- Present financial and operational information in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
- Champion data-driven decision-making through modern reporting and business intelligence tools.
- Treasury & Capital Management
- Lead cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and treasury operations.
- Manage banking relationships and support financing and capital management activities.
- Partner with leadership on working capital strategies and risk management initiatives.
- Support the organization's ongoing growth through effective treasury planning and oversight.
- Strategic Finance Initiatives
- Support compensation, incentive, and other confidential financial programs.
- Lead process improvement, automation, and finance transformation initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting capabilities, and operational effectiveness throughout the finance organization.
- Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals.
- Build strong partnerships across finance, operations, and executive leadership.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by connecting financial insights with business strategy.
- Balance strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in key initiatives and analyses.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, FP&A, corporate finance, treasury, or a related discipline.
- Strong financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and modeling experience.
- Experience developing reporting and dashboards using business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
- Strong business partnership and communication skills with the ability to influence decision-making across an organization.
- Proven ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful business insights.
Preferred Qualifications- CPA and/or MBA.
- Experience in construction, industrial services, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, engineering, or other project-based industries.
- Prior treasury experience, including cash management, banking relationships, or capital planning.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience supporting complex, multi-location organizations.
