Job description
Summary of Job Purpose:
The Finance Director serves as the senior financial advisor to the General Manager on site. She/He is responsible for IDD performance management, and long-range value creation. This role is a core member of the local leadership team and serves as a strategic business of IDD Directors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Be in charge of the financial accounts closing period for the company. Ensure its compliance with the US GAAP and with the IFRS as per Safran interpretation and application.
• Ensure the reliability and the "on time delivery" of the financial group reporting.
• Be the point of contact and reference for SED consolidation team for any analysis or new financial regulation deployment.
• The Finance Director will be assisting the General Manager and its team to understand the financial performance of the company through updates and implementation of financial dashboards.
• He will help the business to take the appropriate decision in the light of the financial impacts. In the role, he will also be in charge of validating the bid approval for the finance function and therefore be in charge of the financial assumption in the business plan
• This position will also cover the internal control activities (Launching and animating the internal control campaign locally, ensure the respect of the deadline for the I/C campaign submission)
• The local Finance Director will also be in charge of the treasury and cash management for the entity.
• And to perform its mission, he will rely on, animate and manage a local team of 3 professionals.

Physical Requirements :
Office environment. Requires sitting, standing, walking, and use of computer equipment. Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds. Travel required approximately 20-25%, including international.
Candidate skills & requirements
Required Competencies:
Education / Experience:
• MBA, CPA, or equivalent
• 5-10+ years of experience in finance
• Strong, proven record of successful team leadership
• Aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing experience
• Multinational and matrixed organization leadership
Skills and Leadership Attributes:
• Strategic financial leadership
• Enterprise-level P&L management
• French speaker is a plus
• Strong autonomy
• People leadership and succession development
