Full Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Finance to join our growing team. As the Director of Finance, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and operational success of our organization. You will oversee all aspects of financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting, while ensuring the company's financial health as we scale.

In this role, you will partner closely with the leadership team to provide strategic guidance on financial matters, including capital allocation, financial analysis, budgeting and growth initiatives. You will also be responsible for optimizing financial processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting key business decisions through data-driven insights.

This is a hybrid role based in New York City. Team members typically work in our Manhattan office 3-5 days a week, with empathetic flexibility.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Lead and oversee the finance department, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis
  • Collaborate with leadership on financial strategy, capital allocation, and business growth
  • Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage financial risks
  • Lead fundraising efforts and manage investor relations
  • Implement financial systems and processes to support scale
  • Create rigor and control in finance/accounting processes, ensure readiness for annual financial audits
  • Monitor key financial performance indicators and drive profitability
  • Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic goals
  • Work closely with the accounting team to manage monthly performance reviews and the financial close process


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:
  • 7-10 years of experience in a senior finance role, with a preference for operational finance experience
  • Tactical leader with expertise in FP&A, financial modeling, revenue forecasting, and cost negotiations
  • Expertise in fundraising, capital management, and investor relations, with a preference for experience leading early-stage fundraising rounds
  • Proven success in a startup or high-growth company
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Experience in healthcare, technology, or related industries is a plus
  • Familiarity with subscription or membership-based business models is an advantage
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Previous experience as a financial analyst is preferred
