Salary: $90,000-$95,000

Job Summary

Director of Hospitality (Conference Services) is a professional in the hospitality industry responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of conferences, meetings, and events, ensuring seamless operations by managing logistics, budgets, vendor relationships, and client expectations, while acting as a liaison between clients and various departments to deliver exceptional event experiences. Key duties include client consultations, space management, budget control, staff supervision (in-person and remote), and post-event evaluations. Trend reports, and recommended innovations are a few reports that the Director of Hospitality will be presenting during quarterly business reviews.
*This position sits out of New York but oversees Events and team members across North America.

Requirements:
• Oversee and manage conference coordinators and on-site staff coordinating meetings and events for NOAM (North America) and delegate projects as appropriate to staff members.
• Maintain strong leadership qualities, consistently motivating staff to achieve teamwork daily.
• Delegating and/or assisting with all Conference Coordinators or Space Coordinator responsibilities for support during illness or PTO. Duties include High Profile Reach out and planning, space escalation, waitlist management,
Workplace Reservation tickets, etc.
• Work effectively and cohesively as a team with all vendor groups, including Catering, Multimedia, Property Management, and Security.
• Ensure client satisfaction; confirm that the highest level of customer service is provided by associates from the beginning to the end of an event.
• Manage efforts to ensure that all sites are up to standard from a facilities perspective, consistently reporting any upgrades to Property Management.
• Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients through effective, accurate, timely and reliable communication and action.
• Maintain complete confidentiality and display discretion and good judgment in performing daily tasks.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills orally and in writing.
• Stay committed and flexible; respond positively to rapidly changing priorities and business pressures; stimulate the same positive attitude in all team members.
• Gaining an understanding of the Omnicom culture, key areas of activity and creating "transparency" by serving as an extension of the Firm.
• Assist HR Director to oversee all aspects of the employment process including preliminary interviews, employment verifications, job offers and completion of new hire paperwork and performance evaluations.
• Host weekly Conference Services meeting to remain aligned and forecast upcoming High-Profile volume and any client conflict. Compile list of upcoming High Profiles for Client weekly meeting.
• Work closely with Corporate Services management on client activities, as well as providing utilization statistics as required - PowerPoint presentations, weekly activity reports, and special projects.
• Responsible for specialty projects as requested by Head of Operations/Director of Global Workplace Experience such as customer service training agendas, team building exercises, creative projects, etc.
• Punctual, dependable and dedicated to achieving operational excellence, down to the smallest of details.
• Providing lunch-time and other short-term coverage for members of the Office services staff.
