The company operates in 42 ports across the United States and moves over 10 million TEUs annually. Ports America handles a wide range of cargo including containers, automobiles, and breakbulk cargo. The company was formed in 2007 as a joint venture between Highstar Capital and AIG Investments. In 2014, Ports America was acquired by Oaktree Capital Management.
