About This Role at Momentum

As a Director of Enterprise Systems on our Enterprise Systems team at Momentum, your days will be dynamic and filled with opportunities to contribute to our mission. Here's a glimpse into what your overall responsibilities might look like:

• Start your day by tracing the downstream impact of material changes before they ship - an ERP release, a CRM data model change, an HRIS restructure - so a decision in one system doesn't quietly break another.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to serve as the design authority for cross-system solutions, setting the pattern, the data contract, and the standard wherever a design touches more than one platform.
• Join a team design review to share ideas, align on goals, and contribute to the overall architecture strategy of the Enterprise Systems team.
• Engage with the analysts supporting your areas, leveraging pairing and design review to coach through complex work and grow capability across the team.
• Implement reusable integration patterns and shared services over one-off point-to-point connections, utilizing your hands-on skills across APIs, middleware/iPaaS, and event- and file-based patterns.
• Work closely with our partners at Momentum companies - Legal, Finance, Procurement, People & Culture, IT, and portfolio company leaders - empowering them with the system roadmaps and support needed to deliver best-in-class solutions for our customers.
• Dedicate time to owning the legal technology stack - the architecture, configuration, security model, and roadmap for CLM, e-signature, entity management, and legal intake platforms.
• Attend business reviews and vendor evaluations to contribute to roadmap planning, renewals, and your own professional growth, staying current on platform releases and AI-enabled automation.
• Plan for upcoming initiatives, collaborating with your team to apply lifecycle discipline across the ecosystem - from intake and business case through optimization, consolidation, and decommission.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a Bachelor's degree ideally in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrates a proven track record of success in enterprise systems architecture, cross-system integration design, and production support across a connected ecosystem (ERP/Finance, CRM/go-to-market, HRIS/People, Legal, and data and reporting).
• Has a demonstrated history of finding new solutions to challenges by leveraging creativity and critical thinking, including picking up unowned problems and driving them to durable resolution.
• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, owning root-cause analysis and permanent resolution for recurring incidents.
• Has the ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse stakeholders, shaping design and standards through technical influence and credibility rather than positional authority.
• Displays empathy and flexibility and is easy to get along with.
• Excels in communication and interpersonal skills, translating technical complexity into clear business tradeoffs for senior leaders.
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of system architecture, release and change management, SDLC, data governance, access controls, and global data privacy requirements (e.g., GDPR).
• Shows proficiency in integration tooling (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft, Workato, Celigo), SQL and cloud data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake), BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI), CLM and e-signature platforms (e.g., Ironclad, Agiloft, DocuSign, Adobe Sign), and core enterprise platforms (e.g., Workday, NetSuite, Salesforce, Greenhouse); scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Has a demonstrated history of leadership and initiative, developing others and raising the design and documentation standard across a portfolio.
• Is passionate for building and sustaining successful businesses and making a positive impact.
• Demonstrates focus, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accuracy across complex, high-stakes work in a fast-moving environment.
• Can handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment, navigating ambiguity and remaining agile.

When considering experience for this role, we typically find a great fit with candidates who have 8+ years of relevant experience in enterprise or business systems, including end-to-end ownership of at least one major enterprise platform. Additionally, experience in a holding company, multi-entity, or shared services environment - and/or in a start-up environment - is a definite plus.

The base salary range for this position may vary based on location. Actual compensation will be determined by role, level, and location, considering additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. For roles eligible for remote work, the base salary is tailored to the designated work location. In addition to the base salary, candidates may be eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus, determined based on both the company's business performance and individual contributions. The People & Culture team will provide specific details during the hiring process.
