Job Summary The Director of Digital Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for enterprise digital service functions across UT Shared Information Services. This role is responsible for portal strategy and support, production control and operational support, identity and access management, business relationship management, and marketing and communications. The Director ensures the delivery of reliable, secure, customer-focused digital services that align technology capabilities with business priorities and institutional objectives.
Minimum Education and Experience -Bachelor's degree and 10 years of related experience
-5 years of experience managing direct reports
Preferred Education and Experience Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field in higher education.
• 10 years of progressive experience in a related discipline.
• 5 years in a leadership or management role.
Preferred Qualifications:• Master's degree in a related field
• Higher Education experience is preferred, specifically in the state of Texas.
• 7 years in a leadership role
• Experience leading enterprise portal platforms, identity and access management programs, production support services, service delivery organizations, or customer engagement functions.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide initiatives.

Other Qualifications To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions:Digital Experience, Portal Strategy & Support
• Develop and execute the enterprise portal strategy to support institutional goals, improve user experience, and increase service adoption.
• Oversee the design, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise portal solutions.
• Establish standards, governance, and multi-year roadmaps for digital service delivery platforms.
• Partner with stakeholders to prioritize enhancements, integrations, accessibility, and user experience improvements
Production Control & Operational Support
• Lead production control and operational support services for enterprise applications and critical business processes.
• Ensure reliable scheduling, monitoring, execution, and support of production workloads, interfaces, and batch processes.
• Establish service management practices that strengthen availability, incident response, operational readiness, and continuity.
• Drive process improvement and automation to increase efficiency, consistency, and service quality.
Identity & Access Management
• Direct the strategy, governance, and operation of enterprise identity and access management services.
• Ensure secure provisioning, authentication, authorization, role management, and access lifecycle processes.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, compliance, audit, and application teams to maintain appropriate access controls and regulatory compliance.
• Develop roadmaps and standards supporting modern identity, privileged access, multifactor authentication, and related technologies.
Business Relationship Management
• Lead Business Relationship Managers who serve as strategic liaisons between technology services and institutional stakeholders.
• Establish frameworks for business engagement, demand management, service planning, and prioritization of technology initiatives.
• Align technology investments and digital services with institutional, operational, and customer priorities.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams and business leaders to improve service outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.
Leadership & Organization Development
• Oversee recruiting, hiring, evaluations and disciplinary actions. Ensure staff adhere to established standards for completion of their work. Review staff training plans to ensure that plans align with current technologies and needs. Provide input into performance goals and evaluations of IT leadership to measure and affect the strategic goals of UT SIS.
• Reporting, Metrics, and Key Performance Indicators: Develop and report key performance indicators and act upon such information as needed.
• Vendor Management: Remain accessible to vendors and strengthen key relationships. Support managers and team leads within the organization in addressing vendor-related issues.
Marketing & Communications
• Oversee marketing and communications strategies supporting UT Shared Information Services programs, services, and initiatives.
• Develop communication plans that promote awareness, adoption, and effective use of technology services.
• Ensure clear, consistent messaging across channels, platforms, and stakeholder groups.
• Support executive communications, service announcements, organizational branding, and technology change initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned

- Location can be Fort Worth, TX or Richardson, TX.
- Hybrid remote work environment available. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement is required upon employment.
- Must have the ability to be on Richardson campus within 48 hours of notice.
