About the OpportunityThe Director of Corporate Accounting serves as a key financial leader, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of
the financial statements and maintain a rigorous control environment for their respective business areas. Business areas
include all aspects of property and equipment, capitalized internal-use software, and intangible assets.
The Impact You Will Make- Leadership and Corporate Close Management:
- Lead and optimize the monthly, quarterly, and year-end corporate financial close for respective business areas, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting under US GAAP.
- Manage, mentor, and scale a high-performing corporate accounting team, fostering professional growth and operational excellence.
- Process and Controls:
- Strengthen Internal Controls: Own, maintain, and strengthen the SOX-compliant internal controlenvironment over corporate accounting and related financial reporting workflows.
- Engineering & Product Advisory: Partner proactively with Engineering and Product teams to establish clear, scalable accounting and data requirements.
- Property and Equipment:
- Oversee all aspects of fixed asset and capital project accounting for a large asset-intensive organization.
- Responsible for the comprehensive review, refinement, and ongoing evaluation of fixed asset accountingpolicies and capitalization thresholds.
- Drive the transformation and automation of fixed asset accounting workflows, monthly subledger-to-general ledger reconciliations, and capital expenditure tracking.
- Partner closely with the Construction and Development teams to ensure accurate project cost tracking, andadherence to capitalization policies.
- Lead the annual and periodic impairment analysis for property and equipment.
- Internal-Use Software:
- Oversee the financial lifecycle of the company's technology stack, managing accounting for corporate SaaS subscriptions, prepayments, and complex vendor contracts.
- Maintain, evaluate, and refine internal-use software accounting policies under ASC 350-40, adaptingframeworks to changing engineering methodologies while maintaining strict financial reporting compliance.
- Partner closely with engineering, product, and IT leadership to optimize project tracking workflows, time-tracking mechanics, and milestone documentation required to substantiate capitalizable softwaredevelopment costs.
- Intangible Assets:
- Own the end-to-end financial lifecycle of intangible assets.
- Partner with corporate development, external valuation specialists, and auditors to manage purchaseprice allocations (PPA) for mergers and acquisitions, ensuring accurate identification and initial valuationof acquired intangible assets.
- Oversee the ongoing governance of definite-lived and indefinite-lived intangible assets, establishingappropriate amortization methodologies, useful life determinations, and periodic re-evaluations.
- Lead the annual and periodic impairment analysis for intangible assets and goodwill.
What You Bring to the Table - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification required.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with 4+ years in leadership.
- Experience in high-growth environments, corporate integration, or public accounting is highly valued.
- Deep understanding of US GAAP, corporate consolidations, and SOX
- Experience creating policies, procedures, SOPs, and audit-support documentation.
- Strong experience in fixed asset, capitalization, depreciation, asset lifecycle management, and construction-in-progress accounting.
- High level of competency dealing with large data sets, query tools, and automation software.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite), close management software (e.g., FloQast), procurement platforms (e.g., ZIP) and forecast and reporting software (e.g., Anaplan).
- Familiarity with automated data transfers between procurement platforms and ERPs.
Our hybrid model requires 3 days a week in the office. That said, many team members choose to come in more often to take advantage of in-person collaboration and connection. You're welcome-and encouraged-to be in the office up to 5 days a week if it works for you.

New York: $210,000 per year.
