DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: - The Director of Clinical Case Management develops, implements and enforces policies and procedures which support the Hospital's mission, goals and objectives.
SUPERVISION: Reports directly to VP of Financial Services
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: - Ensures that staff complies with mandatory education, licensure requirements, mandatory health requirements, etc.
- Develops annual departmental budget and operates within budgetary guidelines.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE - RN or Social Work degree from an accredited college or university.
- Ten years experience as a RN or SW required, five years as a case manager and 3 years in a mid-management position preferred.
- Current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or Social Work license or Multi-State compact license.
- Computer knowledge for use of Internet, Word, Excel Outlook. Knowledge of Sequel an asset.
- Knowledge of CMS Standards related to Utilization Management and Utilization Review as well as Conditions of Participation.
Physical Demands/Work Environment - Work requires a variety of physical activities, including moving about within and outside of all hospital properties for long periods of time.
- Must be able to respond quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergent situations.
- May be required to assist in controlling disorderly conduct or combative patients.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information with patient, family, peers and medical personnel.
