Full Job Description
Community-Minded Enterprises (CME) is seeking a Director of Behavioral Health and Recovery Services to provide strategic, operational, and people leadership across our Behavioral Health and Recovery programs. This role oversees a diverse portfolio of services, including Substance Use Disorder treatment, recovery support services, Plan to Work, Foundational Community Supports, Recovery Café, and other assigned programs.

As the senior operational leader for Behavioral Health and Recovery Services, you'll work alongside managers, supervisors, and organizational leaders to strengthen services, develop teams, improve systems, and ensure programs remain high-quality, compliant, accessible, contractually accountable, and financially sustainable.

What You'll Do
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across Behavioral Health and Recovery Services.
  • Lead, coach, and develop managers and supervisors while building strong accountability and leadership practices.
  • Strengthen clinical supervision, documentation, credentialing, compliance, and operational systems.
  • Establish and monitor program performance measures, contract deliverables, and improvement priorities.
  • Use performance data to identify barriers, guide decisions, and improve program outcomes.
  • Partner with Finance and Revenue Cycle to support budgets, billing readiness, productivity, and financial sustainability.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Risk and Compliance, Finance, and other organizational leaders to strengthen department operations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, funders, government agencies, community organizations, and other partners.
  • Evaluate opportunities to improve, expand, and strengthen Behavioral Health and Recovery services.


What We're Looking For
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in Behavioral Health, healthcare, human services, or a related service environment.
  • Experience leading program operations, staff, compliance, financial performance, contracts, or similar organizational responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience developing or improving Behavioral Health operations, including areas such as clinical supervision, documentation, credentialing, EHR, compliance, and Revenue Cycle workflows.
  • Experience using performance measures, audits, operational controls, and improvement processes to strengthen program performance.
  • Strong people leadership, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and organizational change skills.
  • Experience leading managers or supervisors and opening, expanding, or substantially restructuring Behavioral Health services is strongly preferred.
  • A Behavioral Health professional credential or licensure relevant to CME's services is preferred.
