Director, Medical Strategy
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Critically review agency-developed content, ensuring attention to detail, consistency, and continuity.
Apply disease state, clinical knowledge, and strategic skills to brands, imparting knowledge to team leads.
Provide proactive, strategic medical recommendations to enhance brand communications and adapt to changing markets.
Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and healthcare professionals (HCPs) to achieve brand objectives.
Develop and execute medical strategies, identifying opportunities and ensuring consistent messaging.
Foster strong client relationships through participation in senior leader meetings, workshops, and strategic planning.
Contribute to business development by crafting medical insights, identifying key messaging, and serving on core pitch teams.
Develop and present compelling pitch content, including immersion sections and medical hooks, to support new business opportunities.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Advanced degree (MS, MD, PhD, PharmD) in Clinical/Scientific field.
5+ years' relevant industry experience.
Ability to effectively communicate complex medical concepts to diverse audiences, including clients, KOLs, and internal teams, using clear and concise language.
Strong collaboration skills, ensuring efficient workflow management and teamwork.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including the supervision of direct reports.
Experience developing and delivering strategic medical communications content, including scientific platforms, brand planning documents, and pitches, with expertise in core medical communications deliverables.
Ability to drive brand strategy, adapt to changing priorities, and identify opportunities for growth.
Financial and operational acumen related to staffing plans, timesheets, expense reports, and resource allocation.
$150,000 - $190,000
Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
