About the Role:
Leads the Market Access Psych/Neuro Franchise Marketing team, with responsibility for developing and executing payer and access strategies designed to optimize coverage and patient access across Neurocrine's portfolio. Provides strategic direction and people leadership for the team, translating broader Market Access and Commercial objectives into actionable strategies, priorities, and plans. Accountable for the planning and execution of Market Access promotional initiatives, including payer and access messaging, field-based market access training, tools and resource development, vendor management, and project budgets. Partners cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, National Accounts, HEOR/Medical Affairs, Advocacy, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, and other key stakeholders to drive alignment, inform decision-making, and achieve business objectives.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
  • Lead the development of U.S. Market Access strategies including identifying key issues and opportunities, critical success factors and market access strategies, key tactical programs and product positioning / messaging with payers, in-office Access related messaging, Integrated Delivery Network/Key Providers systems of care materials
  • Accountable for the performance and results of Market Access Marketing within the assigned franchise, proactively identifying opportunities, risks, and resource needs and adjusting priorities to achieve strategic objectives
  • Develop strategy, programs and collateral to support education of physicians/physician staff/practices on matters related to reimbursement and market access
  • Co-lead cross-functional teams including, Market Access, Sales, Marketing, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Commercial Operations to design, develop and execute comprehensive Pharmacy network strategies to achieve company goals
  • Lead Market Access contributions to annual and longer-range commercial planning, establishing strategic priorities, key deliverables, resource requirements, and budget recommendations for the assigned franchise
  • In collaboration with broader Market Access team and. where appropriate HEOR/Medical Affairs, develop annual Market Access strategic and tactical plan, including identification of key issues and opportunities, strategies and critical success factors, tactics/materials, ROI, and budget
  • Identify market Access market research needs, align on market research plans with Market Research team and/or identified vendors to translate findings into access and commercial strategies
  • Evaluate market access performance against budget to ensure a cost-effective allocation of resources and appropriate management reporting, implementing metrics to evaluate use and impact of materials created
  • Ensure that all actions, and those of the team, both internally and through vendors working on Neurocrine's behalf, follow all laws, regulations, policies and demonstrate company values
  • Oversee development of Market Access materials aimed at sales team education
  • Work with the Corporate Account Director team, Sales and Marketing to develop pull-through programs
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance to ensure that all programs are consistent with the latest laws, guidance, and corporate policies
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to direct reports, establishing clear goals and performance expectations while fostering engagement, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
  • Build and develop team capabilities to support current and future business needs, including identifying development opportunities, strengthening the talent bench, and effectively delegating responsibilities to empower team members and drive results
  • Other responsibilities as assigned


Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree in marketing, business, health policy, scientific or related field AND 12+ years of relevant experience in payer marketing, access, managed markets, market development, and/or account management experience in a US pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical organization. Extensive previous managerial experiences also required. Experience in CNS, rare disease, and pharmacy benefit products is ideal. Experience in product launches and with products in limited distribution model strongly preferred. OR
  • Master's degree in health policy, scientific related field or MBA preferred AND 10+ years of similar experience as noted above OR
  • PhD in related field preferred AND 7+ years of similar experience as noted above
  • Demonstrated capabilities in the areas of strategic thinking, initiative, problem solving and creativity with experience effectively applying those skills to product positioning and messaging
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the drug development, regulatory review and commercialization processes for specialty products, including limited distribution
  • Able to maintain a consistent focus in an ever changing environment ensuring strategic alignment for commercial success
  • Track record of successfully defining market issues and opportunities and developing successful Market Access marketing campaigns
  • Able to effectively represent the commercial perspective during Medical/Regulatory/Legal review of promotional/external facing materials with expertise using Veeva Vault Promo materials
  • Consistently demonstrates enthusiasm, confidence, and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as prioritizes effectively to meet individual, team and company goals

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $201,700.00-$275,000.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 35% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
