Director Leadership Acquisition

Position Highlights

The Director of Leadership Acquisition serves as the enterprise leader responsible for attracting, assessing, and securing exceptional leadership talent across Texas Health Resources. This role provides strategic oversight of leadership recruitment activities spanning director, senior leader, and executive-level positions throughout the organization. The Director partners closely with executives, Strategic Human Resources, Talent Acquisition teams, Compensation, and THRU leaders to ensure Texas Health consistently identifies and hires leaders who embody organizational values, demonstrate exceptional leadership capability, and possess the ability to advance organizational performance in an increasingly complex healthcare environment.

The Director serves as the architect of the Texas Health Leadership Recruitment Experience, establishing enterprise standards, governance, assessment methodologies, stakeholder expectations, and service commitments that create consistent, high-quality leadership hiring outcomes across the organization.

Director of Leadership Recruitment plays a critical role in shaping the future leadership of Texas Health Resources. Success in this role will be measured not simply by positions filled, but by the quality, effectiveness, retention, and long-term success of leaders hired into the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and continuously improve enterprise leadership recruitment strategies for director, senior leader, and executive-level roles.

Establish recruitment standards, governance, assessment methods, service expectations, and consistent selection practices.

Lead or oversee complex, confidential, and mission-critical leadership searches from intake through onboarding.

Advise hiring leaders and Strategic HR partners on search strategy, success profiles, candidate requirements, interview expectations, and hiring decisions.

Support fair, evidence-based selection through structured interviews, candidate evaluation tools, calibration, and objective decision support.

Strengthen the leadership recruitment experience through timely communication, clear stakeholder expectations, and professional candidate engagement.

Build leadership talent pipelines, external candidate networks, and succession-related search support using workforce analytics and market intelligence.

Manage internal recruitment resources, external search partnerships, performance metrics, dashboards, and service-level commitments

Lead and develop leadership recruitment team members while fostering accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Development, or related field required
Master's Degree Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Management, Organizational Development, or related field preferred

Experience
8 years progressive experience in talent acquisition, executive search, leadership recruitment, human resources, or related disciplines required
5 years experience leading leadership-level recruitment initiatives and partnering directly with senior executives, key stakeholders required
Experience with a large, complex healthcare delivery system or similarly matrixed talent strategies preferred
Experience leading executive search, leadership assessment, or enterprise talent strategies preferred
Experience partnering directly with senior executives, physician leadership, and operational leadership teams required
Experience managing enterprise-wide recruitment programs, projects, or teams required

Licenses and Certifications
Professional Human Resources Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) or related certification required
