Director, High Purity Operations (Semiconductor)

? Farmington, CT (Onsite - Headquarters & Manufacturing)

We're seeking a senior operations leader to oversee high-purity and ultra-high-purity manufacturing supporting the semiconductor industry. This role is responsible for end-to-end operational performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and scalability for highly engineered components used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing environments.

This leader will partner closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to scale production, introduce new products, and ensure strict adherence to the purity and reliability standards required by leading semiconductor OEMs and fabs. The position plays a key role in enabling growth within the microelectronics space while maintaining world-class operational discipline.

What You'll Do
  • Lead all semiconductor-focused manufacturing operations, including production, planning, maintenance, and operational support functions
  • Develop and execute scalable operational strategies aligned to business growth objectives
  • Ensure consistent achievement of safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets
  • Oversee capacity planning to meet evolving customer demand
  • Maintain ultra-high purity manufacturing standards, including strict contamination control and cleanroom discipline
  • Partner with Engineering to industrialize new products and custom engineered solutions
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or delivery issues
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, cycle time, and process stability
  • Champion Lean manufacturing and data-driven operational decision-making
  • Build, lead, and develop high-performing operations teams and future leaders
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams on new product introductions and scale-up requirements
  • Serve as a key operational contact for strategic semiconductor customers
  • Support S&OP planning and cross-functional alignment across operations


What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing operations leadership experience
  • Strong background in semiconductor components, high-purity systems, or gas delivery environments
  • Proven success scaling operations in a high-mix, high-precision manufacturing setting
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a regulated or high-spec manufacturing environment


Nice to Have
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Lean / Continuous Improvement certifications or formal training
  • ISO Class 5 (or equivalent) cleanroom experience
