Position SummaryTheDirector, Global Logistics is responsible for defining and executing J.M. Huber's global logistics, transportation, and distribution strategy to support business growth, customer service excellence, operational reliability, and cost leadership. This highly strategic leadership role oversees approximately$150M in annual transportation spend, leads global transportation and trade compliance teams, and drives logistics transformation through network optimization, digitalization, sustainability initiatives, and strategic partnerships. As a key member of the Supply Chain leadership organization, this role influences enterprise-wide performance across manufacturing, distribution, supplier, and customer networks globally.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities- Develop and execute a global logistics strategy aligned with business and supply chain objectives.
- Lead domestic and international transportation operations across truck, rail, ocean, air, parcel, and intermodal networks.
- Manage strategic relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, ports, terminals, and third-party logistics providers.
- Drive transportation sourcing, network optimization, and cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining service excellence.
- Ensure compliance with global trade, customs, regulatory, safety, security, and environmental requirements.
- Lead logistics digital transformation efforts through transportation management systems, analytics, automation, and ERP enhancements.
- Manage logistics budgets, operating plans, and overall financial performance.
- Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing global logistics organization.
- Establish executive-level partnerships with logistics providers, suppliers, and key stakeholders to improve network performance and resilience.
- Lead the organization through transportation disruptions, market volatility, and supply chain transformation initiatives.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive logistics, transportation, and supply chain leadership experience.
- Strong expertise in transportation procurement, carrier negotiations, network optimization, and logistics strategy.
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP platforms, analytics, and supply chain planning tools.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing large transportation budgets and cost-improvement initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead organizational change, digital transformation, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Demonstrated success building high-performing teams and influencing senior leaders, both directly and through matrixed organizations.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel approximately 25%.

U.S. Market-Based Salary RangeDirector, Global Logistics [$144,200.00 - $187,200.00]In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
