Position Overview:
The Director - General Accounting co-leads, along with another Director, the office's accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation functions. The Director ensures accurate, timely, and compliant accounting and financial reporting; conducts and oversees complex accounting analysis; and serves as a key financial resource to senior leadership across the University.
The Director works closely with School of Medicine departments, finance and administrative personnel from the five Health Science schools, UPP (the School of Medicine practice plan), University CFO personnel, and varied other constituencies. In partnership with SVC Health Sciences Finance colleagues, the Director will support cross-training, streamline processes and procedures, and advance a cohesive, standardized approach to accounting, reporting, and budgeting across all six schools.
