POSITION: Director for Philanthropic Services REPORTS TO: VP, PST STATUS: EXEMPT DATE: July 2026 Position Summary The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties is seeking a passionate and experienced Director for Philanthropic Services to play a pivotal role in stewarding donor relationships and connecting families with meaningful, high-impact giving opportunities. About the Role As the Director for Philanthropic Services, you will be the trusted partner to primarily manage established charitable funds and donor relationships. You will serve as both a relationship manager and a strategic advisor, fostering deep, long-term connections with families, individual donors, and nonprofit organizations. By guiding donors in aligning their philanthropic goals with the Foundation's mission, you will help sustain and grow a thriving culture of giving in our community. This is an in-office position with the understanding that there may be additional events and meetings outside of normal business hours that you will be required to attend. Key Responsibilities Fund Stewardship & Relationship Management 3 Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of established charitable funds, including nonprofit and donor-advised funds. 3 Prepare clear, compelling proposals and reports that demonstrate impact and reinforce the Foundation's role as a trusted philanthropic partner. 3 Provide personalized stewardship, including preparation for annual fundholder meetings, investment portfolio updates, and ongoing donor communications. 3 Build trust and long-term partnerships with donors by understanding their goals and ensuring their philanthropic intentions are honored. 3 In partnership with Community Impact Officers, collaborate with fundholders to design tailored strategies that empower maximum benefits. 3 Annual presentations to nonprofit organizations and their respective committees or boards to update nonprofit fund management, growth and sustainability. Community Leadership & Visibility 3 Representing the Community Foundation at community gatherings, galas, and professional advisor networks. 3 Strengthen the Foundation's role as a leader and convener in local philanthropy. Collaboration & Growth 3 Work closely with internal teams-including Finance and Accounting, Information Management, Marketing & communications, Community Impact, and Operations-to deliver seamless donor experience. 3 Contribute to organizational growth by tracking donor engagement, identifying new opportunities, and aligning strategies with the Foundation's long-term vision. Qualifications 3 Bachelor's degree required. 3 Minimum five years of experience in business development, fundraising, donor/family relations. 3 Familiarity with basic investment performance and ability to explain market performance and reading financial or fund statements. 3 Proven success working with high-net-worth individuals and professional advisors. 3 Experience with basic estate planning, and legacy giving strategies. 3 Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences. 3 Proficiency with Microsoft, Adobe, Excel, and donor research tools such as Wealth Engine and C- Suite.
