Job Description Summary
Serve as a key member of Transamerica's Financial Planning and Analysis team, with responsibility for leading capital and regulatory reporting, consolidated forecast and budget coordination, and management reporting activities. Provide financial expertise, strategic direction, and functional oversight in a leadership capacity, partnering closely across Finance teams, with business leaders, the Chief Investment Office, and Capital Strategy to deliver accurate, insightful, and well-controlled reporting and analysis.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team within FP&A responsible for capital and regulatory reporting deliverables, forecast coordination, and related management reporting and analysis.
  • Oversee preparation of capital-related reporting packages for senior management, governance committees, and other stakeholders, ensuring content is clear, accurate, complete, and decision-useful.
  • Provide technical expertise on capital reporting, statutory reporting, management reporting, and forecast analysis; serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex questions.
  • Partner with business units, Financial Reporting, Actuarial, Risk, Treasury, Tax, Investments, and other FP&A teams to ensure reporting and forecasts are aligned, well supported, and integrated across the organization.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional initiatives, including process improvements, system implementations, and changes to reporting or forecasting processes.
  • Review and interpret financial and capital data to evaluate results, explain key drivers, assess forecast changes, and support informed leadership decision-making.
  • Create communications for complex messages to a variety of audiences at strategic and operational levels.
  • Develop team talent through coaching, prioritization, feedback, and succession planning; coordinate performance reviews and evaluate overall team achievements.
  • Responsible for ensuring work is performed in a strong control environment; function as a process owner for key reporting, forecasting, or control processes.
  • Recommend and lead implementation of changes to improve quality, efficiency, scalability, and use of technology across reporting and analysis processes.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
  • 12 years of accounting/finance experience including eight years of management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of assigned business area (e.g. investments, premiums, corporate finance)
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing, to diverse audiences
  • Organizational and prioritization skills
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Excel and financial business systems


Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA/advanced degree
  • Extensive knowledge of life insurance and annuity products, statutory reporting requirements, regulatory capital frameworks, management reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of NAIC Risk Based Capital requirements and Bermuda regulatory reporting.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP, including planning and forecasting.
  • Experience preparing and presenting financial, capital, or regulatory reporting analysis for senior leadership or governance audiences.


Working Conditions:
  • Hybrid (In Office: Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays)


The Salary for this position generally ranges between $159,000 - $200,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.

Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company's discretion.
