Director, Finance (Control & Performance)

The role:
Charton Hobbs is seeking a Director, Finance (Control & Performance) to play a key leadership role in financial governance, business performance, and continuous improvement of operations.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for the integrity of financial information, the full accounting cycle, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controls. You will also act as a key financial leader and business partner to internal teams, enabling and shaping decision-making while driving financial and operational performance across the organization.
What you will do:
- Oversee monthly accounting activities and financial statement preparation
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis
- Monitor cash flow, margins, costs, and key performance indicators
- Lead, coach and develop the finance team, fostering accountability, collaboration and professional development
- Strengthen internal controls and financial reporting quality
- Support analysis of margins, costs, inventory, and profitability drivers
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on financial and operational matters
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, tax requirements, and regulatory obligations
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting tools
- Provide clear, rigorous, and action-oriented financial insights to leadership

Your profile:
- CPA designation required
- Bilingual in French and English
- Strong experience in accounting, finance, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial systems (Business Central an asset)
- Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to translate financial information into actionable insights and influence decisions
- Collaborative leadership style, with demonstrated ability to lead, develop and motivate a team
- Continuous improvement mindset
