Job Description

Job Summary:
Leads finance and accounting activities for assigned business units and ensures accurate financial reporting and forecasting. Serves as a strategic advisor to regional and business unit leadership to support decision-making and business outcomes. Oversees project accounting, financial planning, and risk management to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Leads business planning processes and evaluates financial performance across backlog, pipeline, and active work. Drives compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies. Partners with executive and operational leadership to establish financial strategy, governance, and performance objectives across multiple business units, regions, or operational segments.

Key Responsibilities:
Leads financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes for assigned business units, including development of business plans and long-range projections across multiple business units or operational segments.
Advises regional and business unit leadership on financial performance, risks, and opportunities to support decision-making and business strategy.
Reviews and evaluates project financial performance, including backlog, cost trends, labor productivity, and risk/reserve positions.
Oversees project accounting practices, including billing, cash flow management, and cost control to ensure accurate financial outcomes.
Manages and develops finance and accounting team members, including performance oversight and career development.
Leads evaluation of claims, exposures, and financial risks, and aligns with partners to support resolution strategies.
Ensures compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, including audit support and financial statement accuracy, and drives implementation of financial governance standards across multiple business units.

Education Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field or equivalent experience required.

Work Experience:
12+ years of experience in accounting, financial planning and analysis, finance, or a related field required.
Experience leading teams and managing financial operations across multiple projects or business units required.
Experience in construction, manufacturing, extraction, or a related industry required.
Experience establishing financial strategy, governance, and operational standards across multiple business units, regions, or operational segments required.
5+ years of experience leading finance and accounting teams required.

Certifications and Licenses:
Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or MBA preferred.

Anticipated starting pay range:
$165,000.00- $230,000.00
