Job Description

Position Summary

McCabe Restoration, an Endurant Disaster Recovery company, is seeking a Director, Emergency Services - Mitigation & Contents to provide strategic and operational leadership over mitigation (water, fire, storm, and mold) and contents restoration service lines for McCabe's Memphis-based operations and surrounding Tennessee / Mid-South markets. This role is responsible for driving consistent, high-quality emergency response, building scalable operational processes, and leading a team of managers, supervisors, and field technicians across McCabe's markets.

Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Director owns P&L performance for the mitigation and contents divisions, ensures compliance with IICRC and safety standards, strengthens relationships with insurance carriers and referral partners, and champions a culture of urgency, quality, and customer care during clients' most difficult moments. The ideal candidate is a proven restoration industry leader who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and can build strong teams while scaling operations across a multi-brand, multi-market organization.

Reporting Relationships

  • Supervises: Mitigation and Contents Managers, Supervisors, and field technicians across McCabe's Memphis-based markets

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in disaster restoration/mitigation, including at least 3 years in a multi-site or senior leadership role
  • IICRC certifications required, including Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD); Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT) preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Demonstrated experience managing P&L, budgets, and job costing for a service-based operation
  • Working knowledge of insurance claims processes, Xactimate/Xactanalysis, and carrier relationships
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout McCabe's Tennessee / Mid-South markets and respond to large-loss and catastrophe (CAT) events, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications
  • IICRC Master Water Restorer or Master Fire and Smoke Restorer designation
  • Certification in Contents Restoration (e.g., IICRC CR)
  • Experience integrating or scaling operations across multiple acquired companies or locations
  • OSHA 30 certification and formal safety training
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and day-to-day operational leadership for mitigation and contents service lines across McCabe's Memphis-based operations and surrounding Tennessee / Mid-South markets
  • Develop, standardize, and enforce SOPs, quality control standards, and safety protocols consistent with IICRC (S500, S520, S540) and OSHA requirements
  • Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop mitigation and contents managers, supervisors, and field technicians
  • Own P&L performance for the mitigation and contents divisions, including budgeting, labor planning, equipment utilization, and job costing
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, adjusters, and referral partners to drive revenue growth and preferred-vendor status
  • Lead large-loss and catastrophe (CAT) response planning and coordination, including staffing surges and resource deployment
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (cycle time, customer satisfaction, gross margin, revenue) and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain certifications across all mitigation and contents crews
  • Partner cross-functionally with sales, reconstruction, and administrative teams to deliver a seamless customer experience from first notice of loss through project completion
  • Participate in the leadership on-call rotation for emergency and large-loss response
