The Director of Donor and Leadership Relations plays a key role in inspiring significant and long-term donor engagement and investment through the strategic and collaborative development of powerful funding and impact communications and resources. This role will serve as a central connector across philanthropy, executive leadership, marketing and donor engagement teams to ensure a cohesive, inspiring and elevated donor experience at every touchpoint.
The role will help lead campaign communications strategy and creative development while partnering closely with the Donor Experience leadership, MarComm, CDO and CEO to support board engagement, executive visibility and leadership events. This individual will play a critical role during campaigns, helping position Seattle Children's philanthropic vision with clarity, consistency and sophistication for high-net-worth donors, community leaders and institutional partners. The role will help build and support a strong culture of philanthropy among Seattle Children's workforce and volunteer leaders.
Responsibilities include program development and personnel management, endowment and key fund reporting, acknowledgment, and donor impact reporting. The Director of Donor Relations will collaborate with staff across the organization to ensure that all Donor and Leadership Relations efforts are consistent with Donor Experience objectives and serve to cultivate fundraising for Seattle Children's. Supervise staff and contract vendors.
Required Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a fundraising environment or non-profit organization.
- Minimum 5 years management experience, including staff supervision and budget preparation/monitoring.
Preferred- At least 3 years of development experience in higher education or health care environment.
- Donor relations or communications experience.
Compensation Range$121,134.00 - $181,700.00 per year
Salary InformationThis compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
