Full Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Director, Digital Consulting - Transformation is a senior consulting leader who serves as the named Digital Account Lead for an assigned portfolio of strategic accounts, while bringing a distinctive specialization in enterprise transformation strategy, operating models, business cases, and complex program mobilization.

This role is part of Trace3's Digital Account Lead leadership model. The Director leads assigned strategic accounts by owning the integrated Digital Consulting strategy, executive relationships, responsible growth, engagement health, delivery quality, escalation management, value realization, and reference ability. The Director brings a distinctive Transformation domain spike while orchestrating the full strength of Trace3 across Digital Consulting, Regional Account Leaders, Business Units, practices, partners, and delivery teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Own account growth, executive relationships, and delivery quality for assigned strategic accounts
  • Build and operationalize a comprehensive account view, including stakeholder maps, initiative maps, account maturity, relationship health, pursuit history, and whitespace opportunities
  • Convert isolated engagements into multi-domain, multi-outcome transformation programs
  • Serve as the named Digital Account Lead for assigned strategic accounts and act as the senior Digital Consulting owner for the overall client outcome
  • Build and maintain the account strategy, executive relationship plan, account roadmap, opportunity priorities, and cross-domain expansion thesis
  • Originate, qualify, shape, and advance pursuits that align to client priorities and available delivery capabilities
  • Orchestrate Regional Account Leaders, sales teams, domain specialists, practice leaders, Business Units, partners, and delivery leaders around one integrated account strategy and client experience
  • Maintain sufficient proximity to every active engagement to independently understand delivery health, client sentiment, scope, financial position, major dependencies, risks, solution integrity, and progress toward the business case
  • Establish a risk-based oversight cadence and participate directly in working sessions, quality reviews, steering forums, solution reviews, and client meetings at the level necessary to form an independent view rather than relying solely on summarized reporting
  • Serve as the senior Digital Consulting escalation owner for assigned accounts by establishing the facts, aligning the recovery team, clarifying decision rights, communicating transparently, and driving a time-bound stabilization plan when material delivery or client-confidence risks emerge
  • Confirm that delivered work remains aligned to the intended business case, architecture or solution intent, adoption plan, and measurable outcomes
  • Convert successful approaches, delivery lessons, recovery patterns, and account insights into reusable offerings, playbooks, standards, reference patterns, and intellectual property for broader practice adoption
  • Bring in peer Directors and specialists when another domain is required. On accounts led by another Director, operate as the domain lead within the named Digital Account Lead's account strategy and governance model

Portfolio, Program, and Delivery Excellence
  • Oversee complex, multi-workstream programs; champion project management excellence, set quality expectations, and ensure governance, risk management, and value realization
  • Lead executive communications and steering forums; maintain transparent visibility into scope, schedule, budget, RAID, dependencies, decisions, and benefits
  • Establish and maintain governance structures that clarify scope, assumptions, dependencies, decision rights, escalation paths, value measures, and risk ownership across complex engagements
  • Maintain portfolio financial performance, including forecasting, margin, and investment trade-offs, within approved budgets
  • Build business cases that connect transformation recommendations to measurable value drivers, investment requirements, delivery trade-offs, benefits realization plans, and executive decision points
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Industry AI Directors when delivery assurance or recovery requires technical, architectural, AI, data, governance, or domain-specific intervention

People Leadership and Practice Maturity
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing consulting teams; set expectations, provide feedback and coaching, and support promotions and succession
  • Evolve methods, playbooks, and delivery toolkits; drive continuous practice improvement
  • Create leverage by codifying consulting methods, delivery patterns, executive narratives, and reusable assets for broader practice adoption

QUALIFICATIONS & INTERESTS:

  • 12+ years in management or technology consulting
  • Demonstrated account ownership, revenue growth, and program delivery across technology transformations
  • Proven success leading executive pursuits and crafting proposals, SOWs, and LOEs; consistent attainment of revenue and margin targets
  • Practical knowledge across technology domains, including cloud platforms, infrastructure, cybersecurity, business applications, software development and integration, AI, and platform engineering
  • Executive presence with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to influence diverse stakeholders and lead steering-committee forums
  • Demonstrated ability to lead structured consulting methods across discovery, current-state assessment, future-state design, roadmap development, business case creation, program planning, risk identification, and executive readout development
  • People-leadership experience building consulting teams and a culture of feedback and performance
  • Certifications that strengthen delivery and consulting rigor, such as PMP, PgMP, Agile, Prosci, ADKAR, ITIL, or similar credentials
  • Experience shaping transformation programs in one or more priority industries such as healthcare, financial services, public sector, technology, manufacturing, or other complex enterprise environments
