Job Description:

OMD Director, Digital Activation

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and ensuring client satisfaction through effective client and team management and partnership with creative and other agencies. As an innovative leader of a performance media team responsible for the execution of SEM and Social Media, you will be expected to forge a deep partnership with the Display team (both direct buys and programmatic) and Offline media teams.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strategic insight to develop long term execution plans from client's stated business objectives, implement those plans, and achieve key metrics (KPI's) as defined by the client


  • Analytical ability to extract insight/actions from data and relate the "story" back to client's business goals


  • Organizational and leadership capabilities to assign resources, track progress, assist in execution and consistently plan programs through supervision of junior team members


  • Effectively presenting strategic and tactical plans to clients, staff, and internal teams


  • Provide regular insight and training to challenge and develop junior team members


  • Facilitate and manage forecasting, budgeting, and pacing, campaign creation and optimization


  • Understanding of business concepts and client objectives to identify campaign expansion opportunities


Qualifications

  • 8+ years business experience including 5+ years building and/or managing accounts in the programmatic media and/or digital media space


  • Ability to translate digital media complexities and tie them to campaign optimizations


  • Ability to develop and drive programmatic strategy and thought leadership amongst internal team and client stakeholders, driving towards both micro and macro business goals


  • Strong creative and direct communication skills with the ability to engage audiences across in-depth technical concepts


  • History of excellence in client work across different verticals and client KPI's


  • Proven performance in advancing client business success using programmatic channels


  • In depth knowledge of the online advertising industry including ad technology solutions; RTB, DSP's, SSP's, advertising/publisher ecosystems, data privacy


  • Proven excellence in leading a team of programmatic traders


  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
