This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, helping advance initiatives related to commercial excellence, customer segmentation, go-to-market strategy, pricing, and revenue growth. Success in this role requires strong analytical problem solving, executive communication, and the ability to influence across a global organization.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with Global Sales & Marketing leadership to shape strategic priorities and help translate business objectives into executable plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Develop fact-based recommendations on commercial topics such as market prioritization, customer segmentation, account coverage models, pricing strategy, and sales effectiveness.
  • Lead strategic analyses to identify opportunities for growth, margin improvement, commercial productivity, and enhanced customer engagement.
  • Evaluate customer, market, and competitive trends to inform where-to-play and how-to-win decisions across regions, industries, and customer segments.
  • Drive initiatives focused on customer segmentation, including defining differentiated service models, account strategies, and resource allocation approaches.
  • Assess and improve go-to-market effectiveness through initiatives related to territory design, account planning, sales processes, pipeline management, and commercial operating models.
  • Support Sales Operations priorities, including tariff mitigation efforts, sales force effectiveness, account governance, and commercial performance management.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and business unit leaders to align on priorities, remove obstacles, and accelerate execution of key initiatives.
  • Build business cases, implementation roadmaps, and success metrics for strategic initiatives, ensuring recommendations translate into tangible results.
  • Leverage data, analytics, digital technologies, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve decision-making, execution speed, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Facilitate executive and leadership discussions by bringing structured problem solving, external perspectives, and actionable recommendations to complex business challenges.
  • Create executive-ready presentations, communications, and strategic narratives while serving as a trusted advisor who helps leadership move from strategy to execution.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • A minimum of two years of post-MBA or equivalent professional experience in strategy, consulting, corporate development, commercial excellence, business transformation, sales strategy, or other highly analytical, cross-functional business roles
  • Experience developing fact-based strategies, market or customer POVs, business cases and execution plans for complex, cross-functional business problems
  • Strong interest in commercial strategy, growth initiatives, go-to-market models, sales effectiveness, customer strategy, and business performance improvement
  • Structured and logical thinker with an ability to identify core business problems, isolate what matters most and demonstrate a strong nose for value
  • Analytical rigor and proven capability using quantitative data, business performance metrics, and financial insights to evaluate opportunities and support decision-making
  • Powerful written communication skills and ability to translate complex topics into clear, executive-ready narratives and action plans
  • Strong verbal communication skills and experience expressing and defending a point of view, supported by data, with senior business leaders
  • Proven ability to partner across functions and regions, build trust with business leaders, and influence outcomes without direct authority
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or support complex cross-functional strategic initiatives, driving alignment, execution, and measurable business outcomes

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Prior experience in sales strategy, sales operations, commercial excellence, customer segmentation, pricing, go-to-market strategy, or related commercial transformation initiatives.
  • Experience partnering with global sales organizations, business units, and cross-functional teams to improve commercial performance and drive strategic priorities.
  • Strong ability to navigate ambiguity, bring structure to complex business challenges, and help leaders align around clear decisions and actions.
  • Demonstrated use of data, analytics, and business insights to identify opportunities, improve performance, and influence decision-making.
  • Experience leading change, organizational initiatives, or operating model improvements that required cross-functional alignment and execution.
  • Proven ability to translate strategic ideas into actionable plans with clear ownership, accountability, and measurable business impact.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships, influence without authority, and operate effectively across functions, levels, and geographies.
  • High degree of humility, curiosity, learning agility, and bias for action in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, maintain high-quality output, and deliver results under tight timelines.

About Koch Industries

Koch Industries, Inc. is an American privately-held multinational conglomerate corporation based in Wichita, Kansas. Its subsidiaries are involved in the manufacturing, refining, and distribution of petroleum, chemicals, energy, fiber, intermediates and polymers, minerals, fertilizers, pulp and paper, chemical technology equipment, ranching, finance, commodities trading, and investing. Koch owns Infor, Invista, Georgia-Pacific, Molex, Flint Hills Resources, Koch Pipeline, Koch Fertilizer, Koch Minerals, Matador Cattle Company, i360, and Guardian Industries. The firm employs 120,000 people in 60 countries, with about half of its business in the United States. The company is the largest non-Canadian landowner in the Athabasca oil sands. With annual revenues of $110 billion by 2014, the company is the largest privately held company in the United States. In 2007, it was ranked as the largest privately held company. If Koch Industries had been a public company in 2013, it would have ranked 17th in the Fortune 500. The company was founded by its namesake, Fred C. Koch, in 1940 after he developed an innovative crude oil refining process. Fred C. Koch died in 1967 and his majority interest in the company was split amongst his four sons. In June 1983, after a bitter legal and boardroom battle, the stakes of Frederick R. Koch and William "Bill" Koch were bought out for $1.1 billion and Charles Koch and David Koch became majority owners in the company. Charles owns 42% of the company; trusts for the benefit of Elaine Tettemer Marshall and Elaine's children, Preston Marshall and E. Pierce Marshall Jr., own 16% of the company. The heirs of David Koch, who died on August 23, 2019, own the balance, 42%, of the corporation.
