Full Job Description
Director, Client Services

Location: Remote within the United States

Compensation: USD $250,000 - $300,000 OTE (50% Base / 50% Performance)

Travel: Up to 25% to client sites

The Work

Are you an experienced sales professional who prioritizes delivering true value from new client acquisition through to long-term client partnerships?

You should be motivated by achieving positive, measurable outcomes for clients who view you as a trusted advisor. In this role, you will lead the engagement strategy for enterprise Salesforce clients, managing the relationship from initial contact through years of growth. This is a consultative, revenue-generating position focused on navigating complex technology transformations leveraging the Salesforce platform and products. Rather than transactional sales, you will build a book of business by leveraging your professional network and acumen to provide strategic guidance to organizations as a peer and partner.

This is a quota-carrying role. If that's not what you're looking for, this isn't the right fit.

Who Will Succeed
  • Credible command of enterprise technology. Not that you architect a solution, but you can speak credibly about what a client's technology should accomplish and where implementations fail.
  • Analytical horsepower applied to operational reality. You structure ambiguous problems in real time, in front of executives, in contexts where the analysis carries real commercial consequences.
  • Intellectual humility as discipline. Your value is helping clients see the true shape of a problem - working as a true partner to understand the breadth, depth, and complexity with your client, not for them.
  • Equal stature with the C-suite. You partner with clients as a peer and can point to moments where pushing back on an executive's framing produced a sharper analysis they then defended as their own.
  • Willingness to disqualify. You can describe deals you walked away from, fully aligned with why that decision was made, and without seeing it as failure.
  • Long-arc relationships. Your references have stayed with you across multiple engagements, roles, and organizational transitions.
  • Substantive vertical expertise. You know an industry's realities and language, and hold decision-maker relationships that predate this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as primary advisor and executive sponsor for top-tier accounts, building C-suite relationships that endure and growing a retainer-based book of business.
  • Own the full commercial process, prospecting through close, renewal, and expansion, with the discipline of strategy consulting rather than the velocity of transactional sales.
  • Run hypothesis-driven discovery, decline early capability demos in favor of diagnostic depth, and produce communications suitable for executive committees & boards.
  • Collaborate with delivery leads and technical architects so the analytical work is realized in delivery, and coordinate joint pursuits with Salesforce account teams while protecting Ateko's commercial and analytical integrity.

Qualifications

Required
  • 7-10+ years in management consulting, technology consulting, professional services, or senior strategic advisory; strategy consulting backgrounds particularly relevant.
  • Proven commercial accountability: you have carried and exceeded a services-based revenue target in the $3M-$6M+ range and can speak to how, with emphasis on engagement quality over transaction volume.
  • 5+ years of engaging directly with C-suite and board-level executives
  • Substantive vertical expertise with established decision-maker relationships.
  • Analytical and structured-communication capability at the strategy-consulting standard.
  • Working familiarity with enterprise technology platforms.
  • Resides and is legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred
  • Salesforce certifications or comparable platform fluency.
  • Experience combining consulting rigor with commercial accountability.

What We Offer
  • Remote-first and flexible, across the United States.
  • USD $250,000 - $300,000 OTE (50% Base / 50% Performance).
  • Three weeks vacation plus ten personal days (illness, family, mental health).
  • Medical and dental benefits.
  • Subsidized professional development, including certification exam coverage.
  • Support for publishing, conference speaking, and profile development.
  • Peer-nominated recognition and performance bonuses.
  • A deliberately gender-balanced practice (near 50/50).
  • Pledge 1%: 20 working hours per year for volunteering.
