Overview

Position Overview

The Director, Client Development, Americas is responsible for leading the execution of Moncler's client development strategy across the Americas, with the objective of accelerating client acquisition, engagement, retention, reactivation, and long-term value.

Reporting to the Vice President, Client Relations & Development, Americas, the Director will translate the regional client strategy into actionable priorities across markets and stores, ensuring a consistent and elevated approach to client development and clienteling throughout the retail network.

The Director will lead and develop the Regional Client Relations Managers while partnering closely with Retail leadership, Store Management, Client Advisors, CRM, Brand, Training, Merchandising, and Global teams to embed a strong client-centric culture throughout the organization.

This is both a leadership and hands-on client development role. In addition to leading the regional team, the Director will personally manage key client development responsibilities, initiatives, and relationships. The successful candidate must be equally comfortable analyzing client performance, coaching retail teams, developing market strategies, leading client initiatives, and engaging directly with top clients and prospects.

Your Impact

Client Development Strategy & Business Growth
  • Partner with the Vice President, Client Relations & Development to develop and execute the Client Development strategy for the Americas in alignment with Moncler's global direction, regional business priorities, and commercial objectives.
  • Translate regional strategy into clear priorities and action plans across client acquisition, retention, reactivation, engagement, loyalty, and development.
  • Leverage client insights, business performance, and market opportunities to develop actionable strategies by region, store, and client segment.
  • Partner with Retail leadership to establish client development objectives and integrate client KPIs into broader commercial priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to grow the active client base, increase repeat business, strengthen retention, and develop clients through progressive levels of engagement with the Maison.
  • Develop market-specific approaches that reflect the unique client dynamics, communities, and opportunities across the Americas.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of luxury consumer trends, competitive activity, local communities, and evolving client behaviors.

Clienteling & Retail Excellence
  • Lead the execution of the regional clienteling strategy and establish consistent standards, routines, and best practices across the retail network.
  • Partner closely with Regional Directors, Store Directors, and retail leadership to translate client priorities into actionable store-level client development plans.
  • Establish a regular cadence of store and regional client performance reviews, identifying opportunities and ensuring appropriate follow-through.
  • Spend meaningful time in stores observing clienteling behaviors, identifying business opportunities, and coaching teams alongside Retail and Training leadership.
  • Support Store Management and Client Advisors in developing stronger client portfolios, outreach strategies, appointment culture, and relationship-driven selling behaviors.
  • Identify and scale clienteling best practices across the Americas.
  • Champion the adoption and effective use of Moncler clienteling tools, ensuring teams understand how to leverage client information to create relevant and personalized engagement.

VIC & High-Potential Client Development
  • Partner with the Vice President to execute the regional strategy for identifying, developing, engaging, and retaining VICs and high-potential clients.
  • Personally cultivate select strategic client relationships while partnering with Regional Client Relations Managers and store teams to deepen engagement with Moncler.
  • Develop targeted client journeys and engagement strategies, leveraging appointments, events, gifting, product moments, and differentiated experiences to drive long-term client value.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Retail, Marketing, Events, Merchandising, and Global teams to develop and execute elevated client experiences aligned with Moncler's positioning and commercial objectives.
  • Guide client selection, segmentation, invitation, and follow-up strategies for key local, regional, and global activations, measuring effectiveness and business impact.
  • Identify locally relevant opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships, cultivate new communities, and expand Moncler's high-potential client base.

Client Insights, CRM & Performance
  • Leverage CRM data and client insights to identify opportunities across acquisition, retention, reactivation, frequency, engagement, and client development.
  • Partner with the Vice President to define and monitor key client development KPIs across the Americas and establish consistent reporting and performance-management routines.
  • Analyze client behavior, segmentation, store performance, and clienteling activity to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring intervention.
  • Translate data into clear commercial recommendations and action plans for Retail leadership and store teams.
  • Partner with CRM and Global teams to ensure clienteling tools, reporting, segmentation, and capabilities support the needs of the Americas business.
  • Champion high standards of client data capture, quality, and responsible use in accordance with Company policies and applicable privacy requirements.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of client development initiatives and continuously evolve approaches based on performance and business needs.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Regional Client Relations Managers, establishing clear priorities, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
  • Create a strong and connected regional Client Relations community that shares insights, best practices, opportunities, and learnings across markets.
  • Provide strategic direction while remaining actively engaged in execution, particularly for priority stores, markets, clients, and business opportunities.
  • Establish consistent ways of working between Client Relations, Retail leadership, and store teams.
  • Partner with Training to strengthen clienteling capabilities across all levels of the retail organization.
  • Build credibility and influence with Regional Directors, Store Directors, Store Management, and Client Advisors, ensuring Client Development is viewed as an integrated commercial partner to the retail organization.

Cross-Functional & Global Partnership
  • Support the Vice President as a key regional partner to Global Client Development and CRM teams, ensuring strong alignment between global direction and Americas business priorities.
  • Partner closely with Retail, Marketing, Events, Training, Merchandising, Communications, Digital, Client Services, and other functions to deliver a seamless and elevated client journey.
  • Ensure client development priorities are integrated into key product launches, commercial moments, store openings, events, and regional initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships across functions and markets to connect client insights with broader commercial and brand priorities.
  • Participate in relevant global client development discussions, projects, and initiatives, representing Americas needs and opportunities as appropriate.

Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, Hospitality, or a related discipline preferred.

Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in client development and relationship management, preferably within luxury retail or a high-touch hospitality environment, with a strong understanding of CRM and clienteling strategies.

  • Proficiency with CRM/clienteling platforms and Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms preferred.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Americas and internationally as required.

Travel: Up to 15% travel throughout the Americas and internationally to support client development initiatives, key client engagements and events, priority markets and stores, new store openings, and regional and global meetings.

Compensation and Benefits

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Moncler provides a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $160,000 to $190,000.

In addition to competitive pay, the hired candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, paid parental leave, 11 paidholidays, accrue upto 160 hours of paid vacation time, 2 personal days, employee discounts, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.

The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Moncler Corporate Office, located in the heart of Soho, Manhattan.
