Artistree-DFW Airport

The Director of Merchandising & Design is responsible for defining and executing the strategic vision for Artistree's product assortment, design direction, and merchandising strategy. This leader drives profitable growth by delivering trend-right products, compelling value, and innovative services that inspire customers and differentiate the brand.

The role oversees end-to-end category performance, including assortment strategy, pricing and promotions, product innovation, and cross-functional execution to ensure the right products are delivered to the right customer at the right time.

Major Activities

Merchandising & Growth Strategy
  • Develop and execute category strategies that drive sales, margin, traffic, and customer engagement.
  • Lead assortment planning, product selection, and promotional strategies using analytics, consumer insights, and market trends.
  • Build long-range growth plans and identify opportunities to accelerate category performance and innovation.
  • Own pricing and promotional calendars to maximize value perception and ROI.

Design & Product Innovation
  • Establish the creative vision for the Design team, ensuring trend-right, commercially viable assortments.
  • Lead innovation in products, services, and experiences that delight customers and create competitive advantage.
  • Guide development of new capabilities and offerings that expand Artistree's growth opportunities.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with Sourcing, Inventory, Operations, Marketing, Finance, E-commerce, and IT to ensure flawless execution from concept to customer.
  • Drive seamless omnichannel experiences and support system enhancements that simplify operations and improve the customer journey.
  • Build strong supplier partnerships that foster innovation, quality, and long-term value creation.

Team Leadership
  • Build and develop high-performing teams through coaching, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and customer obsession.
  • Inspire teams to think strategically, execute with excellence, and continuously challenge the status quo.
